Who is Alisha Newton?
Canadian actress and producer Alisha Newton was born in Vancouver, British Columbia Canada, on 22 July 2001, making Cancer her zodiac sign. She has 23 acting credits, and is probably known best for starring as Helen in all the eight episodes of the 2022 horror mystery mini-series “Devil in Ohio”, which also starred Sam Jaeger and Emily Deschanel, and was created by Daria Polatin. It follows a psychiatrist who’s begun sheltering a cult escapee, and the mini-series was nominated for three awards.
Alisha’s today highly active in the movie industry, and is currently shooting for the upcoming series “My Life with the Walter Boys”.
Education and early life
Alisha and her sister McKenzie Newton were raised in Vancouver by their mother Diane and father Jeff Newton; not many details have been shared about Alisha’s family, as she respects their privacy.
She was somewhat thrown into the entertainment industry, as she was only four years old when she appeared in her first commercial. Alisha was nine when she made her debut TV series appearance, playing Little Girl in the 2010 episode “Clap Your Hands If You Believe” of the critically acclaimed fantasy horror series “Supernatural”, and she’s been active in the film industry ever since.
She matriculated from a local high school in 2019 and then chose to remain focused on acting, rather than pursue a college degree.

Alisha’s debut film role was playing Bird Thorpe in the 2010 drama “The Wyoming Story”, and the following year saw her appear in both the short romantic drama “Jake and Jasper: A Ferret Tale”, and the short drama “Joanna Makes a Friend”.
In 2012, Alisha starred in three short films: the horror “No Place Like Home”, the thriller “Shadowplay” and the fantasy horror “Mind Your Manners”. She began attracting attention in 2013, when cast to play Young Annabeth in the popular adventure family fantasy “Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters”, which starred Alexandra Daddario and Logan Lerman, and was directed by Thor Freudenthal. It follows Poseidon’s son and his friends as they’re travelling to the Sea of Monsters in search of the Golden Fleece – the film won three of its eight award nominations. Some of Alisha’s following roles were in the 2013 romantic family drama “Heart of Dance”, the short family comedy “The Dating Journal” and the romantic drama “The Tree That Saved Christmas” both in 2014.
In 2015, she portrayed Emma in the horror “The Hollow”, which starred Sarah Dugdale and Stephanie Hunt, and was written and directed by Sheldon Wilson. It follows Emma, Marley and Sarah who are visiting their aunt Cora, and have learned that a mysterious creature has begun killing people; the film was nominated for three awards. Alisha could then have been seen playing supporting characters in the 2016 short drama “Lucky”, the 2017 short drama “Roam”, and the 2018 action thriller “Scorched Earth”.
Her most recent film role has been as one of the main characters, Paris Parker in the 2021 drama “We’re All in This Together”, which was written and directed by Katie Boland, who also starred in it; the film follows the lives of members of the dysfunctional Parker family.

Alisha’s appeared in only a couple of TV series.
She played Nellie Harper in the 2015 episode “Heart of the Family” of the historical romantic drama “When Calls the Heart”, and the year 2019 saw her play Georgie in four episodes of the drama “Hudson”, which starred Madison Cheeatow and Sam Robert Muk, and follows Jade Virani as she’s running the Maggie’s Diner for a week; the series was nominated for two awards.
Alisha played Isla Vandeberg in the 2021 pilot episode of the mystery science fiction “Debris”, and since 2012, she’s been starring as Georgie Fleming Morris in the family drama “Heartland”, which today also stars Shaun Johnston and Amber Marshall, and was created by Murray Shostak. It follows a family from Alberta, Canada as they’re going through both good and bad times together, the series has been airing since 2007, and has won 27 of its 99 award nominations.

Alisha produced the 2016 short movie “Lucky”, which follows a teenage boy who’s lost a winning lottery ticket.

Alisha’s won four of her nine award nominations. She won a 2013 Young Artist Award for Best Performance in a TV Series (Comedy or Drama) – Supporting Young Actress for “Heartland”, and three Joey Awards in 2014 and 2015, two of which for “Heartland” and the third for “Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters”.
Love life and relationships
Alisha’s yet to speak about her love life in public, but it’s widely believed that she’s been in a relationship with a non-celebrity American boy since November 2018, as it was then that she uploaded the first picture which features them together, onto her Instagram account.
Her boyfriend seems to be quite tall, and the two dressed up for Halloween together in 2018; he put on a dentist costume, while Alisha was a tooth fairy. She later commented that she would marry at the age of 18, but it seems as this hasn’t happened, as there are no records of Alisha marrying.
She seems to be in a relationship with a non-celebrity American boy as of June 2023, hasn’t married and doesn’t have children.

Alicia’s quite popular on Instagram, and close to half a million people are following her on the network today, while she’s posted nearly 600 pictures and videos; most of which show her enjoying her everyday life, whether she’s travelling around Italy, spending time at the beach or skiing somewhere high up in the mountains.
She’s a huge animal lover; her favorites are horses, she’s the owner of two, and also an equestrian, having entered a couple of competitions.
