How Drake Milligan Fooled Everyone with His AGT Audition: The Truth About His Past

Published

on

Talent shows are one of the most useful platforms in gaining recognition, popularity and a fan base, plus if things go well, maybe a professional contract too. Nonetheless, while most people who join these TV competitions are usually totally completely unknown, Drake Milligan was a rarity on his own for having a little bit of experience in the entertainment industry before he set foot on the “America’s Got Talent” stage in season 17.

As one of the most charismatic and talented performers of his season, Drake Milligan stole hearts everywhere, and was placed quite well in the show’s final. However, now that it’s been a while since then, many fans of the show have been wondering who Drake is and how much experience he had before debuting in “America’s Got Talent”.

So did he fool everyone, or was his past a good and inspiring one? Stay here to know more about Drake Milligan’s background story, his career from the beginnings to earning nationwide fame, and all the things which make him quite the memorable “America’s Got Talent” contestant.

What’s Up With Drake Milligan?

Season 17 of “America’s Got Talent” brought its audience many surprises and great moments, especially when it comes to Drake Milligan. When he stood on the show’s stage with his guitar and band, everybody knew they were up for a good moment, and that was just what he delivered with his original country music and captivating stage presence.

Nonetheless, while Drake was open about his past as an Elvis impersonator, not many were aware that his “America’s Got Talent” debut wasn’t his first time in a talent show. As it happened, back in 2018, Drake had already auditioned for “American Idol” and did so well that the show’s audience was expecting to see him later in the competition. That time never came as Drake dropped out of the show before the competition even started. The reason behind his exit was personal, as he thought he ‘wasn’t quite ready for that platform yet,’ as he stated on his Instagram back then.

Regardless of the audience’s surprise at finding out about Drake’s sting in “American Idol”, that fact alone doesn’t go against “America’s Got Talent” rules. That being said, having previous experience in talent shows played in Drake’s favor, as it made him feel more comfortable in such an important scenario.

Where Is He Now?

Even though Drake Milligan didn’t become the “America’s Got Talent” season 17 winner, his stint in the show was successful enough to gain him popularity, new fans, and great career opportunities for him.

Initially, his first album “Dallas/Fort Worth” was released in September 2023, which included original songs he performed in “America’s Got Talent” such as “Kiss Goodbye All Night”. The album peaked at number one on iTunes, and was strongly celebrated by his fans, even gaining him a nomination at the Country Music Awards for the music video of “Sounds Like Something I’d Do”.

Drake’s success extends to live concerts as well, even reflecting on the growing audiences of his live shows while it was still airing in late 2022: ‘As we would leave (the TV show) and go back out on the road, and every time the shows kept on getting bigger and bigger, and they still are,’ he told Forbes. Along with his band, Drake has performed on important stages such as “The Kelly Clarkson Show”, and the legendary live country music bar Billy Bob’s Texas.

Overall, it’s undeniable that “America’s Got Talent” played a huge role in the rising popularity of Drake Milligan, but his talent and charisma are definitely what have made it all possible.

Beginnings

Drake Milligan’s love for music started very early in his life. Native of Mansfield in Texas, the young Drake was always influenced by the likes of country music legends such as Merle Haggard, though the turning point in his life was at seven years old, when he watched an Elvis Presley impersonator perform and became completely enthralled by it.

From that point onwards, Drake not only became a huge Elvis fan, but also started impersonating The King from head to toe, despite his young age. It was also his interest in Elvis that prompted a 10 years old Drake to learn guitar and take singing lessons, keeping up with that for several years into his teens to the point of turning his performances from a beginner’s level to a professional one.

Having built his Elvis-impersonating skills for so many years, in 2014 at 16 years old Drake got his first professional role on screen, portraying a young Elvis in the biographical movie “Nobody”, and which focused on the formative personal relationships of the King.

Early Career

Following his stint on the big screen, Draken went on to star in the 2017 TV series “Sun Records” based on the “Million Dollar Quartet” musical, centered in the legendary studio of the same name, which is also credited for Elvis’ early success. The series lasted eight episodes, but it was a great opportunity for Drake to share the screen with the likes of Chad Michael Murray and Kevin Fonteyne.

In 2018 Drake went on to audition for “American Idol”, in which he recalled his background as an Elvis impersonator, but admitted a bigger interest in becoming a country musician and showing his real self for the world to see, not behind a costume: ‘I feel like it’s my calling’, he said in front of cameras.

After singing George Strait’s “You Look So Good In Love”, Drake was greatly praised by the judges, and right away received his golden pass to the next stage of the show. However, he later dropped from the competition, and decided to move to Nashville instead, insisting on focusing on his music first before taking that first step in his career.

Path In “America’s Got Talent”

While Drake’s decision not to participate in “American Idol” was a risky one, it played out great for him in the end. During his time in Nashville, he formed his live band and even dropped his first original music in 2021, starting with the single “Cowgirl For Christmas”, followed by his eponymous extended play (EP) a couple of months after. The latter was released under the label Broken Bow Records, which signed Drake in July of that year.

Only a year afterwards, Drake auditioned for “America’s Got Talent” with his original song “Sounds Like Something I’d Do” from his EP, instantly eliciting praise from judges and audiences. For his second appearance in the show, Drake performed his song “Kiss Goodbye All Night” which gained him compliments not only for his talent and stage presence. but also for the fact he’d come back to the show despite his increasing off-screen popularity: ‘The fact that happened, and you still come back to compete in this competition, you have my absolute respect,’ as Simon Cowell said that night, confessing he was concerned about Drake dropping out.

For the final night, Drake sang Jon Pardi’s “Last Night Lonely” in a duet with a fellow country singer. That performance wasn’t enough to gain the competition win, but Drake was already rising to stardom at that point.

Life After The Show

Drake Milligan’s career greatly changed after he participated in “America’s Got Talent”. It’s not only the fact that his music entered music charts everywhere, but also that his rising popularity gained him a place in the country music industry. Nowadays, Drake is not only a requested act in country music festivals in the US, but also in the United Kingdom.

This is a huge achievement for Drake, especially considering his beginnings as an impersonator, who slowly but surely found his way until becoming an artist with his own identity.

While it’s unclear what other future projects he already has in the works, the success of Drake Milligan’s eponymous EP and the album “Dallas/Fort Worth” speaks volumes about the bright future awaiting him.

Why wasn’t Miona Bell paid by “90 Day Fiancé”?

Published

on

Jibri and Miona Bell’s bittersweet and utterly confusing story in “90 Day Fiancé” left many wondering what was the actual truth at the end of it all, and it’s since been no easy task to uncover what truly lies at the bottom of that information cesspool. As far as most people know, there have been allegations that TLC never paid Miona Bell for her participation in the series.

However, the verity of that claim is dubious at best, as is most of what the Bells would have everyone believe about them. They’re definitely an unlikely match, as Jibri is a cowboy-hat-wearing southern rapper, and Miona a spoil-me-daddy city girl who lusts for the blinding disco lights of nightclubs deemed prestigious on Instagram.

That being said, even bad clout is good nowadays, and many viewers of the show just couldn’t stop looking for information about Jibri and Miona’s lives after they first appeared on the TV screen on 17 April 2022. The two have since then come up with a number of completely unverified and far-fetched claims in an attempt to shape public opinion to their benefit.

Black Serbs, allegedly

While most “90 Day Fiancé” couples have met at a party, or through a mutual friend or app, the way Jibri and Miona came to know each other is rather unconventional and definitely confusing. It seems that this inconsistency with logic, which started their journey, would form the main building material of their online presence later on.

It all began back in Rapid City, South Dakota USA, where Jibri Bell was born and raised. While obtaining an early education at the local Stevens High School, he met a fellow classmate by the name of David Brkljač. He was a Serbian immigrant whose family moved to the US in search of a more comfortable life, and Jibri found his European customs enticing.

It didn’t take long before the two became best friends, and started looking out at the future together. While David was much more fitness-oriented than Jibri, they both shared a passion for music and, more importantly, fame. As the years slowly went by and they trickled into adolescence, Bell and Brkljač came up with the idea of a band, with a name that made no sense at all – Black Serbs.

Their direct.me page states that the band’s philosophy is ‘Pushing the Boundaries of Reality,’ and while their mediocre dance/electronic music, also dubbed by themselves as ‘space punk’, never saw much success, the name definitely does push those boundaries.

With not even one black Serb in the band to speak of, the logic of the name is equivalent to calling Linkin Park ‘White Japanese Guys,’ since their piano player Mike Shinoda has east Asian ancestry. Regardless of how little sense the band’s name made, and how ordinary their songs and music videos turned out to be, they were welcomed in a few nightclubs in Belgrade, the capital of Serbia, just for the peculiarity of their style.

Miona was known as a prolific party goer back then, spending her weekends at whichever nightclub let out the loudest noise at the time. Having as little success as they did, which hasn’t changed even in mid-2023, Black Serbs loved mingling with the crowd after performing, for just a little extra popularity.

This is how the two eventually ran into each other, and it looks like Miona was thoroughly fascinated with the idea of Jibri being a black Serb, even though he didn’t even speak more than two words of the language, and had literally nothing in common with Serbian culture or ethnicity. That still seems to have done the trick, however, as following their encounter the two embarked on an unstoppable romance.

Miona’s classic infatuation with African-American culture, as well as her desire to eventually become famous, blended together in a mix that Jibri had been looking for in a girl who shared his party-going mindset and has an appearance deemed attractive on Instagram, so the stars looked to have aligned perfectly for them.

Being too young to have lived through the illegal bombing of Belgrade in 1999 by the US and its allies, against the decision of the United Nations and the defensive military alliance premise that is the foundation of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), Miona was utterly fascinated with American culture through the influence of TikTok and Instagram, aspiring to become a version of Kim Kardashian.

On the other hand, Jibri wanted to show off his girl back home, where the women seemed nowhere near as interested in him, as he had been single for a long time prior to meeting Miona. As a result, the two were anxious to go to the US and begin their life together, but the paperwork at the embassy made that difficult.

After thorough deliberation over the course of some hours, the couple decided that they were both ready to take their nightclub fling to the next level for the purpose of bringing Miona over to South Dakota, and promptly became engaged.

The process of manufacturing Miona’s K-1 visa was then initiated, which automatically also qualified them for participating in “90 Day Fiancé.” Many fans have theorized that the only way they could’ve seen real success was exactly by landing a presence in a massive reality TV series like this one.

They speculated that the engagement was in fact a financially oriented project meant to provide the couple with much-needed publicity and so hopefully popularity, which would later lend some credence to the social media charade that they now live off. Interestingly, the merit this theory appears to hold increases significantly the deeper these two are researched.

Home of the broke, land of defeat

Jibri managed to get Miona the papers she required for a longer stay in the country, and the two met at a South Dakota airport with glimmering eyes. There was no stopping for Miona, whose new beau was a super famous and successful singer with lots of followers and massive amounts of money. Except there was, because Black Serbs never made much money, and barely anyone had ever heard of them.

Even after being frequently talked about in the reality TV series, with all of the couple’s popularity poured into the franchise, the band’s Instagram page can’t push past 26,000 followers. One can only imagine how much this number grew after the viewers of “90 Day Fiancé” were made aware of the group’s existence, meaning that the follower count had more than likely quadrupled. This leaves their pre-reality TV audience at approximately 6,000 individuals – far from what anyone would call pioneers of the music industry.

With that being the case, Jibri and Miona couldn’t really go around the country driving expensive cars in short music videos for TikTok and Instagram; instead, they went to live with Jibri’s parents in South Dakota. The aspiring rapper said that COVID-19 restrictions put the band out of work, thus wiping away the income that would’ve otherwise supposedly sustained the lavish lifestyle they both aimed to sport.

Riding the wave

Having spent a great deal of time in the ninth season of “90 Day Fiancé” across late 2020 and early 2021, Miona eventually began thinking herself too famous to fail, and launched a wig selling business that was featured on her separate Instagram work page. The enterprise literally consisted of just Miona, who advertised the wigs in selfies and maintained the page, and Jibri, who brought her new boxes of wigs to try and sell.

The first product she offered there was a so-called mimi ponytail, placed on sale on 25 July 2022. The page has done somewhat alright for itself, with just under 40,000 followers nine months later. Still, most of that audience is thought to have come from the clout of “90 Day Fiancé,” as certain fans remain curious about the direction their lives will take after the limelight.

They also started up a YouTube channel named Jibri and Miona – 90 Day Fiancé, which is still trying to peak over 10,000 subscribers. On it, they attempted to cater to the Serbian audience by posting vlogs in Miona’s native language, and answering questions regarding their relationship.

However, of approximately 6.5 million Serbs nation-wide, most have never heard of TLC’s reality TV series, and much fewer actually care about the public life of small-time US reality TV participants. Lastly, even fewer than that have ever heard of the band Black Serbs, numbering in the low hundreds.

The couple did their best to try and expand across all of the existing social media networks, basing their entire online personas on their appearance in TLC’s hit show. However, as time has made clear, receiving money for the mere act of existence or peddling third-grade goods often requires more than simply appearing in front of the camera.

Jibri and Miona had to learn this lesson the hard way, eventually falling into frowned-upon habits to try and stay relevant as their time in the limelight began to fade away. Their desperate attempts to maintain the attention of wider audiences actually managed to spark a little bit of controversy, which even prompted the creation of this very article. All in all, though, most would characterize this move as one unbecoming of a couple trying their best to make the audience believe they’re millionaires.

Their latest clout scam

In the end, the tale of Jibri and Miona Bell is just a sad attempt at vicariously living the high Instagram life, and the clues are there to see for everyone willing to look. First of all, it became apparent in early 2022 that Miona’s appearance had drastically changed since she started dating Jibri, and not because of excessive wealth.

In fact, as reported by InTouchWeekly, Miona was engaging in a very common and sad tactic of impressionable younger females who long for the African-American lifestyle, commonly referred to as ‘blackfishing.’ It derives from the term ‘catfishing,’ which means presenting someone else’s appearance as your own.

Blackfishing is similar, except the perpetrator is still using their own image. Women who blackfish do everything in their power to appear more African-American, including darkening their complexion, enhancing their facial features to seem more akin to those of the target race, as well as sporting classic African-American female hairstyles, all of which Miona was clearly witnessed doing.

The reality TV star was enraged by the audience’s observations, thus showing insecurity in who she is as a person, and giving everyone more reason to believe that she was actually guilty of the accusation. Then again, insecurity seems to be pretty much the only reason for what the two continuously do online, so not many were surprised.

As of the latter half of 2022, the couple became adamant that they were making enviable amounts of money, going as far as to call themselves millionaires. More specifically, they’re claiming that Miona’s wig business has exploded, raking in hundreds of thousands on a monthly basis.

To further cement their dubious claim, the couple insisted that they weren’t in any financial trouble when Miona arrived, that Jibri had been making good money from the band, and that their brief stay with his family was purely out of convenience. Of course, she had to supplement this statement by saying that TLC wasn’t even paying them, so they were monetarily independent from the get-go.

This is where the rumor that they weren’t paid originated, but anyone with a bit of common sense and a basic understanding of how companies as large as TLC operate immediately understood what was really being said.

To translate, Miona and Jibri wanted to distance themselves from the misery of living off a reality TV salary, as well as start a scandal that could potentially put them back in the media. Their only real goal is what it’s been since the start – trying to cure deep-rooted insecurities by appearing glamorous online.

The closest they ever got to persuading anyone of their ludicrous claims was the time when they supposedly purchased a Porsche SUV at the Porsche Ontario dealership. Its website shows leases as low as $600 per month, which makes their vehicles affordable to most middle-class families willing to make a sacrifice for a Porsche.

They ultimately tied the knot on 10 January 2023, and have since then greatly reduced the amount of false wealth social media posts. Whether they plan to one day come clean, or are simply tired of lying, it’s definite that very few actually believed most of their claims, especially one that a page of 40,000 followers is making them millions.

Just for the sake of answering the question once and for all, Miona Bell was paid in full by TLC, but saying that she wasn’t was very convenient for her story of becoming an overnight millionaire, so she’ll continue to push that narrative until she finds help for her mental issues.

What is Jill Wagner doing now? – AKA Amy Winslow in ‘Mystery 101’

Published

on

‘Mystery 101’ is a popular American/Canadian crime film series, created by Robin Bernheim and Lee Goldberg. The series aired on the Hallmark network in the United States, and on the W Network in Canada, until its cancellation in April 2023.

The series played off in the fictional town of Garrison, suggested to be located in Washington State, and followed Professor Amy Winslow, a college literature teacher specialising in crime fiction, who served as a consultant for big city detective Travis Burke. Quite often, Winslow would insert herself into Burke’s cases, and as the films continue, viewers even get to experience a little romance between the two leading characters.

Other characters include Winslow’s father Graham, a best-selling crime writer and widower, Winslow’s teaching assistant, and a young, female rookie police officer who also happens to be the police commissioner’s daughter. While not a very famous or expansive cast, the show nonetheless earned its stars some renown among ‘Mystery 101’s viewers.

The show’s dramatisation of the investigations and conclusions undertaken by Winslow earned it a popular reception among a vast community of crime fiction fanatics. While the films were quite popular, the most noteworthy cast member would naturally be Jill Wagner, who played the leading role of Professor Amy Winslow. Having grabbed the interest of viewers, Jill gained a substantial following.

Sadly, in 2022, Wagner announced her scepticism about the film series’ continuation, stating that the producers do not want to include her in the discussion about Mystery 101’s status, thus raising concerns, confirmed a year later when the producers announced the official cancellation.

Now, with Jill no longer appearing on camera, her followers and fans have been wondering what she is up to nowadays, and if they might one day see her return to television screens. As such, we took it upon ourselves to investigate the current affairs and whereabouts of everyone’s favourite consulting detective, Professor Amy Winslow.

What To Expect?

As we look into what Jill Wagner is doing today, we first dive into her past life, learning about her origins and how she came to be the star of ‘Mystery 101’ and all other highlights of her acting career.

Moving on, we will discuss Wagner’s personal life, her marriage to Canadian minor league hockey star David Lemanowicz, as well as the birth of her two children; finally, we ‘ll look into how Jill has been keeping busy, and what she is planning for her future, both in her personal life and her acting career.

The Girl From ‘Wipeout’

Born on 13 January 1979, in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, as Jill Suzanne Wagner, the former star of ‘Mystery 101’ was raised predominantly by her father, David Wagner, and her paternal grandmother. David served as a Marine in the US Armed Forces, living in Wallburg, North Carolina, where he raised his daughter and only child, Jill.

Unfortunately, very little is known about Jill’s early life, except that she  attended Ledford Senior High School before later graduating from North Carolina State University with a degree in business management. While attending her standard education, Jill expressed an interest in modelling and acting during her teenage years, and began training at the Barbizon Modelling and Acting School located in Raleigh.

Shortly after graduation, Jill moved to California hoping to start her career in the entertainment industry, quickly landing her first role in 2003, as part of the ‘Punk’d’ MTV series, in which she performed several sketches. Her appearances earned the notice of both Maxim and FHM magazines, which included Jill on their lists of hottest female celebrities.

Following this, Jill would continue to slowly embark on her acting career, earning small roles and a few co-lead positions. Among her first, more noteworthy credits, Jill starred as Krista Starr in ‘Blade: The Series’. She also made guest appearances in the series ‘Bones’ and ‘Quintuplets’.

In 2005, Wagner was cast in her first major role in the production of ‘Junebug’, and in 2008 she  had a role in the horror film Splinter’.

While Jill eventually earned her fame as an actress, most people would easily recognise her from her most iconic achievement as the on-field commentator for ABC’s very successful game show, ‘Wipeout’. In March 2008, Jill made her debut as a television personality and host on the set of ‘Wipeout’, earning vast popularity among viewers. Then in 2011, Jill temporarily left the ‘Wipeout’ series, much to the viewers’ disappointment, saying she intended to focus on her acting career, but in August 2012, Jill returned to ‘Wipeout’ as its on-field host, and stayed with the game show until the show’s disappointing cancellation.

Following her brief departure from ‘Wipeout’, Wagner appeared in the teen drama series, ‘Teen Wolf’, as well as making a guest appearance in Rhett and Link’s YouTube ‘The Mythical Show’.

In 2015, Jill hosted the series ‘Handcrafted America’, before moving on to star in numerous productions for the Hallmark network, which include several television films such as “Christmas Cookies” and “Autumn Dream”. Jill stayed on with ‘Handcrafted America’ until 2017, around which time she married, and her acting schedule took up most of her time.

In 2018, Wagner starred in the Canadian film ‘Braven’, and in 2019, assumed the role she’s now most famous for, Professor Amy Winslow. Aside from playing the leading role in the ‘Mystery 101’ film series, Jill also had several roles in television movies between 2015 to 2021. Among these many titles, a few honorary mentions include ‘Hearts of Winter’, ‘The Angel Tree’, and several Christmas films.

For Love and Tomorrow

In 2017, while still hard at work building her acting career, Jill’s personal life took a focal interest as her romantic life achieved wonderful hallmarks. Unfortunately, few details are readily available concerning her romance with former Canadian hockey star David Lemanowicz, but it’s commonly known among her social media followers that the pair met in 2016.

According to the news Jill shared with her social feed, she and David announced their engagement during the early months of 2016, and the couple officially tied the knot a year later. Again, the details of their wedding were kept private, and not much is known to the public about the couple’s intimate affairs, other than what they share on their respective social media platforms.

In 2019, Jill shared the news of her pregnancy with her fans and followers, announcing that the baby is due sometime early in 2020. In April, Wagner gave birth to her firstborn, daughter Army Grey, but chose to keep the details private, as she seems to do with most of her personal life.

Then, in a surprising Instagram post, in which Jill exalted and lovingly showered her husband, David, with praise for being an amazing person, the rock on which she anchored her life, and father, Wagner announced the birth of her second child. In the lengthy post of August 2021, Jill revealed that her younger daughter by the name of Daisy Roberta, would soon meet her older sister, but mentioned she and the little one suffered a few scary complications.

Jill stated that the pregnancy was unplanned, but the couple nonetheless welcome the new blessing in their life, adding that Wagner underwent military training for her latest role in ‘Special Ops: Lioness’, and that expecting Daisy came as a shocking surprise. Unfortunately, Jill did not go into the details of the complications she and Daisy suffered, but from what fans can tell, everything turned out alright, for both mother and daughter.

Most unfortunately, Jill hasn’t shared her plans for the future with either gossip publications or her followers, but it’s safe to say that the American actress plans on continuing the joyful journey of parenthood. As often expressed by Wagner on her social pages, her family is the most important focus in her life.

However, it’s also known that Jill seems keen on progressing her acting career, as she starred in several Great American Family films spanning from early 2020 through to 2022. Jill is also starring in another major film production, though the film’s release is yet to be announced. The film in question, ‘SpecialOps: Lioness’, apparently stars Jill in a military role. As of yet, Jill hasn’t shared any details about the film other than stating that she was required to complete strict training.

Conclusion

While fans of ‘Mystery 101’ would be sad to see the series of films end, it’s safe to say that the leading star, Jill Wagner, best known as the co-host of ‘Wipeout’, will continue her life and career.

Having recently celebrated the birth of her two daughters, Army and Daisy, Wagner would be looking forward to achieving more milestones in the course of her personal life. However, as can easily be observed, Jill might choose to keep her personal life secret.

If you are a fan of Jill or the roles she played, then you can look forward to her latest starring role in the upcoming release of ‘SpecialOps: Lioness’, but more than that, little can be predicted about what the future holds for Jill Wagner. Regardless, we wish Jill nothing but the best, in her career and her personal life.

Are Mary Fitzgerald and Romain Bonnet still together?

Published

on

Mary Fitzgerald & Romain Bonnet

On paper, Mary Fitzgerald and Romain Bonnet make the perfect couple. The reality TV stars both work at the Oppenheim Group, a luxury real estate brokerage firm with offices in West Hollywood and Newport Beach. Netflix viewers will be more than familiar with Oppenheim, as it’s the focus of Adam DiVello’s “Selling Sunset”, a reality series with six seasons to date, that documents the estate agents’ personal and professional lives.

As was to be expected, season six brought plenty of drama and two beautiful newcomers: Bre Tiesi and Nicole Young. Casual fans of the show have been wondering if Mary and Romain, who began dating in summer 2017 and became husband and wife in March 2018, are still together. We can confirm that the lovebirds are still doing well after almost six years; today, we’ll be taking a look at their relationship timeline and important milestones.

It’s unclear how the attractive couple first got to know each other, but we do know that they began dating just a few days after Romain moved to Los Angeles. Romain, a suave Frenchman with a private school education and arts degree, initially moved to the USA to pursue his modelling career. With his chiseled jawline and dark brown eyes, Romain soon began modeling for Tommy Hackett and other big brands almost as soon as he touched down in the US, and was signed to the prestigious Wilhelmina agencies in New York and Los Angeles.

These days, Romain is known for being the Oppenheim Group’s project manager. However, he has had a varied work history, with jobs in the construction industry and as a pastry chef. The TV personality has multiple income streams right now, such as his Cameo account on which he sells fans personalized shout-outs, or his social media brand promotions.

Mary uploaded her first photo with Romain during her birthday celebrations in 2017. When the couple began dating, she was still living with her former friend Christine Quinn. However, when Romain practically moved in with them due to how much time he was spending there, they realized that they needed to get their own place for some much-needed privacy, and intimacy.

A few months into the relationship, Mary and Romain legally married in a frugal courthouse ceremony which they kept secret while planning the extravagant nuptials that would take place over a year and a half later. In February 2019, Mary met Romain’s family for the first time, which was perhaps one of the last moments the couple got to enjoy having a sense of anonymity in their relationship.

Everything changed with the premiere of “Selling Sunset” in March 2019, and it took the estate agents a while to get used to the newfound media attention and public opinion. Mary and Romain’s cast mates also discussed her moissanite engagement ring at much length – so much so, in fact, that Romain replaced the moissanite with a real diamond, as he always intended to do so. This led to some speculation that Romain was having money problems, and couldn’t really keep up with appearances.

In October 2019, Mary and Romain’s opulent wedding ceremony was covered by People magazine. This time, the nuptials took place in a lavish Los Angeles estate that belonged to one of Mary’s clients. However, when viewers of “Selling Sunset” discovered that they had already married a year and a half prior, they accused the good-looking pair and the show’s production team of lying to the public, to which Mary said in an interview: “It’s not that big of a deal… People sign a certificate all the time before they do their actual wedding.”

Mary and Romain made it clear that they weren’t trying for children just yet, as they had more important things on their plate, such as upgrading their living situation. In January 2021, the couple moved into a new place with their fur babies Nico and Zelda, and a few months later, Mary and her ex Jason Oppenheim – with whom she shares custody of the dogs – threw a huge party for Nico’s birthday which was slightly soured by the presence of Mary’s former best friend Christine.

An agitated Mary told Jason that he shouldn’t have invited Christine, as they fell out when the latter began ignoring her while traveling with her fiancé at the time. Although the pair patched things up, Mary was furious to find out that Christine had become engaged without even telling her. Despite the women talking things through at Christine’s bridal gown fitting, the relationship between them is rockier than ever, and many viewers were shocked that Jason would invite her to Nico’s party without consulting Mary first. Many found the birthday party absurd anyway, similarly Mary’s reaction.

Mary and Jason were spotted together at many high-profile events in 2022, such as Coachella and the MTV Movie & TV Awards. Color-co-ordinating on the red carpet, Mary and Jason looked better than ever, with the stylish blonde donning a black top and sequined skirt and beaming from ear to ear in the presence of her debonair husband.

In a December 2022 interview, the husband-and-wife team opened up about their fertility journey. Mary, who was born in July 1980, shared that the first round of embryo freezing hadn’t worked out, and that they’d started a second one. Mary – who had her first son at sixteen and raised him as a single mother – was INITIALLY diffident about the idea of having another child. However, she changed her mind thanks to Romain’s eagerness and their seemingly unshakeable bond.

“He [Romain] is going to be the most amazing dad, because I had some reservations going into it, because I did it on my own, but he’s going to be amazing,” Mary confirmed. “He’s so loving and responsible and thoughtful, so he’s going to be great with a kid.” As Mary’s son and Romain are so close in age, Romain doesn’t try to act as a father figure, but they’re believed to be on good terms.

Season six of “Selling Sunset” premiered on Netflix in May 2023 and was an instant success. In August 2022, it was announced that Christine would officially be leaving the show, as she was moving on from the Oppenheim Group and starting her own firm with her husband. Mary, who has been part of the Oppenheim Group since 2014, certainly didn’t miss the blonde drama queen, and considered Christine’s departure as a chance for the rest of the cast to start over without any drama.

Although there have been plenty of storylines to cover in the new season, such as the aftermath of Chrishell Stause and Jason Oppenheim’s dramatic breakup, Mary and Romain have proven themselves to be one of the most stable couples in the series. Fans eagerly await news of their fertility journey, and any other important events in their lives, so we’ll be sure to keep you posted with any updates.
