Who is Sterling Sharpe?

Former professional American Football player Sterling Sharpe was born in Chicago, Illinois USA, on 6 April 1965, making Aries his zodiac sign. He’s remembered best for the time he spent playing for the Green Bay Packers of National Football League (NFL) as their wide receiver, although he had begun attracting attention while playing college football.

Sterling played three positions while at Glennville: linebacker, quarterback and running back – he also played basketball and was on the school’s track team.

He matriculated in 1983, and then enrolled at the University of South Carolina, graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in 1987; Sterling set various football records while attending the university, including for receptions (169) and receiving yards (2,497), while his record for career touchdowns (17) has since been broken. Sterling’s record for single-season receiving touchdowns (11) was broken by American former professional Football Player Sidney R. Rice in 2005.

Upon graduation, Sterling’s No. 2 jersey was retired by the University of South Carolina; his coach and mentor William ‘Tank’ Black quit coaching the South Carolina’s Gamecocks so that he could work as Sterling’s manager.

Career as a professional Football Player

Sterling was the seventh overall pick in the 1988 NFL Draft, selected by the Green Bay Packers. His skills immediately impacted the team, as Sterling started all 16 games and caught 55 passes; he numbered 90 receptions in his second year with the Packers, more than any other player in the league.

The Packers welcomed new quarterback Brett Favre in 1992, and he and Sterling teamed up and became the best passing duo in the NFL; Sterling numbered 107 receptions in the season, which broke the NFL’s previous record set in 1984 by American former professional Football Player James Arthur ‘Art’ Monk. Also in 1992, Sterling held the season’s record for receptions, receiving touchdowns and receiving yards, thus becoming the fifth player in the history of the sport to win the ‘Triple Crown’, while three more players have since achieved the feat.

The year 1993 saw Sterling have 112 receptions, breaking his former personal record, and the following year saw him with 18 touchdown receptions, the second-most in NFL history, as Jerry Rice performed 22 in 1987. Sterling caught four touchdown passes in a single game on 24 October 1993, becoming the first to achieve this since Don Hutson in 1945.

Sterling’s career ended abruptly in 1994, as he suffered a neck injury and had to quit playing football; the Packers went on to win the 1996 Super Bowl. Shannon gave his brother Sterling the three Super Bowls rings that he won, thus thanking him for his influence.

Since his retirement, Sterling’s been working for the NFL Network as their analyst.

Former American Football player, American Ryan David Leaf, was born in Great Falls, Montana USA, on 15 May 1976, making Taurus his zodiac sign. He spent three seasons playing for the San Diego Chargers and the Dallas Cowboys of the National Football League (NFL), while he then also played for both the Seattle Seahawks and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for a single season. Ryan’s today also known for being a former convict and drug addict.

Education and early life

Ryan was raised alongside his brother Brady Leaf in Great Falls by their parents, about whom not many details have been disclosed because Ryan respects their privacy; his brother’s today a professional American Football player.

Ryan became interested in playing football while attending Charles M. Russell High School, and led his team to the 1992 Montana state title. He matriculated in 1994, and then enrolled at Washington State University, playing football for their Cougars under head coach Mike Price; he started 24 of the Cougars’ 32 games, and led them to their first Pac-10 Championship in the university’s history; the team reached the 1998 Rose Bowl, but lost to the Michigan Wolverines 21-16 – Ryan was named first-team All-America and Pac-10 Offensive Player of the Year. Ryan’s career

Ryan was drafted by the San Diego Chargers in 1998, and signed a four-year $31 million worth contract, which included the $11.25 million signing bonus.

The Chargers won their first two games and Ryan played well, however, his colleagues and coach were dissatisfied with his poor behavior. He was hospitalized with a viral infection three days prior to the Chargers’ third game against the Kansas City Chiefs – Ryan started the game, but performed poorly. As Ryan continued to perform poorly, he lost his starting position to Craig Whelihan, while he lso continued to behave poorly towards his colleagues and media.

He suffered an injury while training with the Chargers before the 1999 season, and then missed the entire season because of surgery to fix his shoulder’s labral tear. After continuing to play poorly, with the Chargers finishing the 2000 season winning only one of their 16 games, Ryan was released from the team on 28 February 2001; during the three years that he played for the Chargers, Ryan won four of the 18 games which he started, while 33 of his 46 passes were intercepted.

He was signed to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on 2 March 2001, but as his performed was mediocre, he was asked if he was willing to play for a lower salary, and to be demoted to fourth quarterback; after refusing, Ryan was released by the Buccaneers on 3 September of the same year.

He signed with the Dallas Cowboys a day later, but was then released the following day; the Cowboys signed Ryan again on 12 October 2001 – he appeared in only four games, all four losses, and was released in May 2002.

The Seattle Seahawks offered Ryan a chance, and he signed a one-year contract with them, however, he abruptly retired from football by the end of the year.

For a couple of months starting from October 2009, Ryan worked for a travel company in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada as their business development manager. Ryan was put on 10 years probation in Texas in April 2010, after pleading guilty to obtaining a controlled substance by fraud, and was also ordered to pay $20,000.

He was arrested on drug charges, theft and burglary in Montana on 30 March 2012, and again four days later; because he’d violated his parole, an arrest warrant for Ryan was issued in Texas. He was sentenced to spend seven years behind bars in Montana on 19 June 2012, while a Texas judge sentenced him to five years behind bars on 9 September 2014, allowing the time he served in Montana to be deducted from his Texas sentence.

Indian-American retired professional wrestler Dalip Singh Rana – aka The Great Khali – was born in Dhiraina, Himachal Pradesh, India, on 27 August 1972, making Virgo his zodiac sign. He’s probably known best for the time which he spent signed to World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), and for becoming the first WWE World Heavyweight Champion from India; The Great Khali became a legend in India after being crowned a WWE Champion, and was in 2021 inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame.

Education and early life

The Great Khali was raised in a Rajput family in Sirmaur, by his mother Tandi Devi and father Jwala Ram; he has six siblings, and their parents struggled to provide for them all.

The Great Khali was born with acromegaly, which is a disorder that leads to overgrowth of certain body parts. He studied at a local high school, and was mostly into sports during his time there, playing cricket, soccer and wrestling.

The Great Khali matriculated in 1990 and then found work to financially support himself, rather than to pursue a college degree.

Wrestling career

The Great Khali became a security guard in Shimla upon completing his high school education, and was noticed by a police officer who had previously aided several officers to become international athletes; he offered him a job, and The Great Khali thus joined the Punjab Police in 1993. He took wrestling lessons in the following three years, prior to moving to the US and training at a special gym for wrestlers.

It was in 2000 that The Great Khali signed a contract with All Pro Wrestling, and chose ‘Giant Singh’ as his ring name; his first match was in October 2000, when he and Tony Jones teamed up against the West Side Playaz.

The following year saw The Great Khali move to San Francisco, California and sign with World Championship Wrestling (WCW), spending close to a year there before the wrestling promotion was purchased by World Wrestling Federation (WWF).

He signed a contract with New Japan Pro-Wrestling in 2021, and was teamed up with Giant Silva, with them becoming the tallest tag team in the history of the sport, as their average height was 7ft 1ins (2.15m) and their combined weight 800lbs (360kgs). They called themselves ‘Club 7’, and defeated four wrestlers at their first match in October 2001; The Great Khali’s first tag team defeat was when he lost to Hiroyoshi Tenzan at the Wrestling World 2002 in January, while he lost again two months later, this time to Manabu Nakanishi.

Dara Shawn Daivari was The Great Khali’s manager, and he made his debut on the 7 April episode of SmackDown!, when he attacked The Undertaker and thus became a villain. It was a week later that ‘The Great Khali’ was revealed as his ring name, and he wrestled his first in-ring opponent on 21 April, defeating Funaki.

He defeated World Heavyweight Champion Rey Mysterio on 12 May 2006, and then The Undertaker on 21 May; he lost his first match in August of the same year, to The Undertaker.

The Great Khali was then transferred to Extreme Championship Wrestling, defeating ‘The Reject’ Shannon Moore on 31 October 2006, and was signed to Raw on 8 January 2007.

He won his first Raw match against John Cena, as John was disqualified after hitting The Great Khali with a steel chair; he then lost to John on 20 May 2007, tapping out to his signature move STFU. He became the World Heavyweight Champion on 20 July 2007, after winning the 20-man Battle Royal.

The Great Khali lost to Dolph Ziggler in May 2009, and then again on 28 June; he then took some time off to spend with his family, and returned to India; he eventually entered the 2011 Royal Rumble, but lost to Mason Ryan.
