How rich are Ben and Erin Napier? Health Update

Published

on

Whether they’re renovating an old house or a whole town, it’s always a pleasure to see Ben and Erin Napier on our TV screens. Ever since the launch of their show “Home Town”, the couple has been bringing houses back to life all around Laurel, Mississippi by combining their love for antique styles with modernity.

While Erin and Ben have gained hearts everywhere due to their light-hearted personalities, sweet love story, and family, they’re also admirable for their work, the stable business they’ve built through it, and all the hardships they’ve faced to get where they are today.

So where are the Napiers now and how did they get there? Stay here to learn more about Ben and Erin’s whereabouts, including their net worth, fame, their story, and current shows.

How Rich Are They?

Erin and Ben Napier have become widely popular for their sense of style and charisma on screen. That being said, the couple has gained more than only fame and followers, but also led them to amass a net worth of $5 million combined, according to online reports.

This fortune partially comes from their career on TV, which includes their brand show “Home Town” and its spin-offs “Home Town Takeover” and “Ben’s Workshop”, on top of landing some tremendous advertising deals thanks to it, as seen on their social media.

Nonetheless, a huge part of their fortune comes from their several active businesses, including the well-known retailer Laurel Mercantile, the furniture and tools maker Scotsman Co and Scotsman Manufacturing. All of these companies were opened years after the Napiers’ rise to fame, as before that Erin and Ben owned the now-disappeared wedding and event boutique Lucky Luxe. As well, Ben was a church minister before becoming a TV personality.

All in all, Ben and Erin had done an excellent job at not only becoming one of the most well-known house renovators on TV, but also at earning  a modest fortune doing what they love.

What Are Their Businesses About?

Although we know Erin and Ben Napier for their work as house renovators, they do more than that when cameras are off. For a start, Laurel Mercantile is a retailer of lifestyle and decorative items, opened in 2016 by the Napiers in Laurel. The company is a renewal of the original Laurel Mercantile, which opened in 1901 to serve as one of the biggest goods suppliers in town, before its closure in 1930.

The couple also owns Scotsman Co, a woodwork and manufacturer where Ben turns his love for woodwork into authentic pieces of usable furniture, and other home items. The name is in honor of Ben’s Scottish heritage, and has turned into an international sensation thanks to its features in “Home Town” and its spin-offs.

Scotsman Co sells its items online and at Scotsman General Store, located next to Laurel Mercantile’s second store location opened in 2018.

Last but not least, Ben and Erin are the proud owners of Scotsman Manufacturing, which produces most of the items sold through Laurel Mercantile. Founding a manufacturing company is a step forward in accomplishing Erin and Ben’s goal of selling American-made products only.

Health Update

It’s no secret that Erin and Ben Napier have gone through their fair share of hardships, especially when it comes to health. For several years into their marriage, Ben and Erin had been unable to welcome any children due to health issues on her side, resulting from a perforated appendix.

Nonetheless, that seems to be a thing of the past now, as the couple happily welcomed two daughters after Erin was completely cured of her illness. As well, Erin underwent throat surgery in late 2022, but has recovered just fine from it, and seems to be significantly well in most health-related aspects these days.

On his part, Ben doesn’t have any long-lasting and serious health problems as far as is known, though in April 2023 he suffered a shoulder injury which left him confined to bed for a while.

According to Erin, Ben had some problems involving his rotator cuff, bone spur, and cartilage, though further details about whatever happened to him weren’t revealed outside of the fact he had to undergo weeks of therapy and use a sling. Even so, Ben appeared content in the pics posted by his wife, as she and their daughters were taking care of him while he was confined to home during his recovery.

What Is Erin Napier’s Illness About?

While the Napiers aren’t extremely secretive about their personal issues, Erin’s now-cured illness is one of those topics that the couple rarely talks about.

As it happened, from the age of 19, Erin experienced intense abdominal physical pain and fever, a condition which significantly worsened as time passed. Despite seeing several doctors, no one was able to give her clear answers for years, leaving Erin with the terrible uncertainty of not knowing what was going on with her.

It wasn’t until she underwent exploratory surgery in 2014 that doctors found out that Erin was suffering from a perforated appendix, which healed itself by spreading tissue all over her organs. Doctors had been unable to find out she was suffering from this condition due to how rare it was, but it was finally time for Erin to turn the page of this chapter of her life after so many years.

While Erin’s pain was gone along with her appendix, the situation resulted in some mental health issues for Erin, such as having ‘extreme fear’ and ‘preoccupation with sickness’, as she confessed on Instagram in 2022: ‘My brain, without my permission, sets off on a fight or flight mission to save my life, when my life is not in any danger at all’, she wrote.

Despite the many problems caused by long-lasting health issues, Erin’s overcome them all.

Children

Even though she recovered well from her perforated appendix removal in 2014, Erin was told that the possibility of becoming pregnant was an unlikely one. Regarding her feelings at the time, she told People: ‘Not knowing is always the biggest hurdle for me to overcome. I like to have proof, and we had no proof that I would be able to have kids.’

Given all of Erin’s problems conceiving and the health-related hardships she faced, it was a big surprise for her and Ben to find out she was pregnant with their first child on 2017’s Mother’s Day. Although some small bits of their journey to become parents can be seen in “Home Town” second season, the couple kept the news about their first baby low key for several months, until finally making the big announcement in October that year.

In January 2018, the pair happily welcomed their daughter Helen, who was named in honor of Erin’s grandmother. Nonetheless, the surprises weren’t over for the Napiers, as the news of having a second baby was also unexpected, only finding out about it when Erin started developing sudden allergies. Their second daughter named Mae was born in May 2021, and was another happy addition into the family.

What Is Going On With The Napiers?

A lot has been going for the Napiers in recent times – early in 2022, they released the third show of their franchise entitled “Home Town Kickstarter”, which focused on renovations in six towns around the US, looking to preserve the historical value of those buildings and bring them to new life. As if that wasn’t enough, the Napiers also starred in the two online-exclusive series “Talkin’ Shop” and “Erin’spired”, and in April 2023, the pair celebrated “Home Town”s reaching the 100th episode milestone.

The Napiers’ happiness also extends to their private life, as they’ve also recently finished renovations of their second home on the outskirts of their hometown Laurel. As they showed during a sixth season episode of “Home Town” aired in December 2022, they bought the 1930s house in mid-2021, but a lot of changes were needed to turn it into the family’s dream house, including the living room, kitchen, bedrooms, and study, but in the end, they made it all happen.

As the couple told Southern Living, their new house on the outskirts allows them a lot of peaceful times, and serves as a weekend escape for the family, who felt that their primary home in the center of Laurel was becoming a little too small for their family of four.

All in all, despite all the health issues the Napiers have faced in the past years, these days they seem to be having lots of great times by just enjoying their TV success, and their businesses, always putting their family above everything else.

What is Jill Wagner doing now? – AKA Amy Winslow in ‘Mystery 101’

Published

on

‘Mystery 101’ is a popular American/Canadian crime film series, created by Robin Bernheim and Lee Goldberg. The series aired on the Hallmark network in the United States, and on the W Network in Canada, until its cancellation in April 2023.

The series played off in the fictional town of Garrison, suggested to be located in Washington State, and followed Professor Amy Winslow, a college literature teacher specialising in crime fiction, who served as a consultant for big city detective Travis Burke. Quite often, Winslow would insert herself into Burke’s cases, and as the films continue, viewers even get to experience a little romance between the two leading characters.

Other characters include Winslow’s father Graham, a best-selling crime writer and widower, Winslow’s teaching assistant, and a young, female rookie police officer who also happens to be the police commissioner’s daughter. While not a very famous or expansive cast, the show nonetheless earned its stars some renown among ‘Mystery 101’s viewers.

The show’s dramatisation of the investigations and conclusions undertaken by Winslow earned it a popular reception among a vast community of crime fiction fanatics. While the films were quite popular, the most noteworthy cast member would naturally be Jill Wagner, who played the leading role of Professor Amy Winslow. Having grabbed the interest of viewers, Jill gained a substantial following.

Sadly, in 2022, Wagner announced her scepticism about the film series’ continuation, stating that the producers do not want to include her in the discussion about Mystery 101’s status, thus raising concerns, confirmed a year later when the producers announced the official cancellation.

Now, with Jill no longer appearing on camera, her followers and fans have been wondering what she is up to nowadays, and if they might one day see her return to television screens. As such, we took it upon ourselves to investigate the current affairs and whereabouts of everyone’s favourite consulting detective, Professor Amy Winslow.

What To Expect?

As we look into what Jill Wagner is doing today, we first dive into her past life, learning about her origins and how she came to be the star of ‘Mystery 101’ and all other highlights of her acting career.

Moving on, we will discuss Wagner’s personal life, her marriage to Canadian minor league hockey star David Lemanowicz, as well as the birth of her two children; finally, we ‘ll look into how Jill has been keeping busy, and what she is planning for her future, both in her personal life and her acting career.

The Girl From ‘Wipeout’

Born on 13 January 1979, in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, as Jill Suzanne Wagner, the former star of ‘Mystery 101’ was raised predominantly by her father, David Wagner, and her paternal grandmother. David served as a Marine in the US Armed Forces, living in Wallburg, North Carolina, where he raised his daughter and only child, Jill.

Unfortunately, very little is known about Jill’s early life, except that she  attended Ledford Senior High School before later graduating from North Carolina State University with a degree in business management. While attending her standard education, Jill expressed an interest in modelling and acting during her teenage years, and began training at the Barbizon Modelling and Acting School located in Raleigh.

Shortly after graduation, Jill moved to California hoping to start her career in the entertainment industry, quickly landing her first role in 2003, as part of the ‘Punk’d’ MTV series, in which she performed several sketches. Her appearances earned the notice of both Maxim and FHM magazines, which included Jill on their lists of hottest female celebrities.

Following this, Jill would continue to slowly embark on her acting career, earning small roles and a few co-lead positions. Among her first, more noteworthy credits, Jill starred as Krista Starr in ‘Blade: The Series’. She also made guest appearances in the series ‘Bones’ and ‘Quintuplets’.

In 2005, Wagner was cast in her first major role in the production of ‘Junebug’, and in 2008 she  had a role in the horror film Splinter’.

While Jill eventually earned her fame as an actress, most people would easily recognise her from her most iconic achievement as the on-field commentator for ABC’s very successful game show, ‘Wipeout’. In March 2008, Jill made her debut as a television personality and host on the set of ‘Wipeout’, earning vast popularity among viewers. Then in 2011, Jill temporarily left the ‘Wipeout’ series, much to the viewers’ disappointment, saying she intended to focus on her acting career, but in August 2012, Jill returned to ‘Wipeout’ as its on-field host, and stayed with the game show until the show’s disappointing cancellation.

Following her brief departure from ‘Wipeout’, Wagner appeared in the teen drama series, ‘Teen Wolf’, as well as making a guest appearance in Rhett and Link’s YouTube ‘The Mythical Show’.

In 2015, Jill hosted the series ‘Handcrafted America’, before moving on to star in numerous productions for the Hallmark network, which include several television films such as “Christmas Cookies” and “Autumn Dream”. Jill stayed on with ‘Handcrafted America’ until 2017, around which time she married, and her acting schedule took up most of her time.

In 2018, Wagner starred in the Canadian film ‘Braven’, and in 2019, assumed the role she’s now most famous for, Professor Amy Winslow. Aside from playing the leading role in the ‘Mystery 101’ film series, Jill also had several roles in television movies between 2015 to 2021. Among these many titles, a few honorary mentions include ‘Hearts of Winter’, ‘The Angel Tree’, and several Christmas films.

For Love and Tomorrow

In 2017, while still hard at work building her acting career, Jill’s personal life took a focal interest as her romantic life achieved wonderful hallmarks. Unfortunately, few details are readily available concerning her romance with former Canadian hockey star David Lemanowicz, but it’s commonly known among her social media followers that the pair met in 2016.

According to the news Jill shared with her social feed, she and David announced their engagement during the early months of 2016, and the couple officially tied the knot a year later. Again, the details of their wedding were kept private, and not much is known to the public about the couple’s intimate affairs, other than what they share on their respective social media platforms.

In 2019, Jill shared the news of her pregnancy with her fans and followers, announcing that the baby is due sometime early in 2020. In April, Wagner gave birth to her firstborn, daughter Army Grey, but chose to keep the details private, as she seems to do with most of her personal life.

https://www.instagram.com/p/CWlTVFOLKJb/

Then, in a surprising Instagram post, in which Jill exalted and lovingly showered her husband, David, with praise for being an amazing person, the rock on which she anchored her life, and father, Wagner announced the birth of her second child. In the lengthy post of August 2021, Jill revealed that her younger daughter by the name of Daisy Roberta, would soon meet her older sister, but mentioned she and the little one suffered a few scary complications.

Jill stated that the pregnancy was unplanned, but the couple nonetheless welcome the new blessing in their life, adding that Wagner underwent military training for her latest role in ‘Special Ops: Lioness’, and that expecting Daisy came as a shocking surprise. Unfortunately, Jill did not go into the details of the complications she and Daisy suffered, but from what fans can tell, everything turned out alright, for both mother and daughter.

Most unfortunately, Jill hasn’t shared her plans for the future with either gossip publications or her followers, but it’s safe to say that the American actress plans on continuing the joyful journey of parenthood. As often expressed by Wagner on her social pages, her family is the most important focus in her life.

However, it’s also known that Jill seems keen on progressing her acting career, as she starred in several Great American Family films spanning from early 2020 through to 2022. Jill is also starring in another major film production, though the film’s release is yet to be announced. The film in question, ‘SpecialOps: Lioness’, apparently stars Jill in a military role. As of yet, Jill hasn’t shared any details about the film other than stating that she was required to complete strict training.

Conclusion

While fans of ‘Mystery 101’ would be sad to see the series of films end, it’s safe to say that the leading star, Jill Wagner, best known as the co-host of ‘Wipeout’, will continue her life and career.

Having recently celebrated the birth of her two daughters, Army and Daisy, Wagner would be looking forward to achieving more milestones in the course of her personal life. However, as can easily be observed, Jill might choose to keep her personal life secret.

If you are a fan of Jill or the roles she played, then you can look forward to her latest starring role in the upcoming release of ‘SpecialOps: Lioness’, but more than that, little can be predicted about what the future holds for Jill Wagner. Regardless, we wish Jill nothing but the best, in her career and her personal life.

Are Mary Fitzgerald and Romain Bonnet still together?

Published

on

Mary Fitzgerald & Romain Bonnet

On paper, Mary Fitzgerald and Romain Bonnet make the perfect couple. The reality TV stars both work at the Oppenheim Group, a luxury real estate brokerage firm with offices in West Hollywood and Newport Beach. Netflix viewers will be more than familiar with Oppenheim, as it’s the focus of Adam DiVello’s “Selling Sunset”, a reality series with six seasons to date, that documents the estate agents’ personal and professional lives.

As was to be expected, season six brought plenty of drama and two beautiful newcomers: Bre Tiesi and Nicole Young. Casual fans of the show have been wondering if Mary and Romain, who began dating in summer 2017 and became husband and wife in March 2018, are still together. We can confirm that the lovebirds are still doing well after almost six years; today, we’ll be taking a look at their relationship timeline and important milestones.

It’s unclear how the attractive couple first got to know each other, but we do know that they began dating just a few days after Romain moved to Los Angeles. Romain, a suave Frenchman with a private school education and arts degree, initially moved to the USA to pursue his modelling career. With his chiseled jawline and dark brown eyes, Romain soon began modeling for Tommy Hackett and other big brands almost as soon as he touched down in the US, and was signed to the prestigious Wilhelmina agencies in New York and Los Angeles.

These days, Romain is known for being the Oppenheim Group’s project manager. However, he has had a varied work history, with jobs in the construction industry and as a pastry chef. The TV personality has multiple income streams right now, such as his Cameo account on which he sells fans personalized shout-outs, or his social media brand promotions.

Mary uploaded her first photo with Romain during her birthday celebrations in 2017. When the couple began dating, she was still living with her former friend Christine Quinn. However, when Romain practically moved in with them due to how much time he was spending there, they realized that they needed to get their own place for some much-needed privacy, and intimacy.

A few months into the relationship, Mary and Romain legally married in a frugal courthouse ceremony which they kept secret while planning the extravagant nuptials that would take place over a year and a half later. In February 2019, Mary met Romain’s family for the first time, which was perhaps one of the last moments the couple got to enjoy having a sense of anonymity in their relationship.

Everything changed with the premiere of “Selling Sunset” in March 2019, and it took the estate agents a while to get used to the newfound media attention and public opinion. Mary and Romain’s cast mates also discussed her moissanite engagement ring at much length – so much so, in fact, that Romain replaced the moissanite with a real diamond, as he always intended to do so. This led to some speculation that Romain was having money problems, and couldn’t really keep up with appearances.

In October 2019, Mary and Romain’s opulent wedding ceremony was covered by People magazine. This time, the nuptials took place in a lavish Los Angeles estate that belonged to one of Mary’s clients. However, when viewers of “Selling Sunset” discovered that they had already married a year and a half prior, they accused the good-looking pair and the show’s production team of lying to the public, to which Mary said in an interview: “It’s not that big of a deal… People sign a certificate all the time before they do their actual wedding.”

Mary and Romain made it clear that they weren’t trying for children just yet, as they had more important things on their plate, such as upgrading their living situation. In January 2021, the couple moved into a new place with their fur babies Nico and Zelda, and a few months later, Mary and her ex Jason Oppenheim – with whom she shares custody of the dogs – threw a huge party for Nico’s birthday which was slightly soured by the presence of Mary’s former best friend Christine.

https://www.instagram.com/p/CHJWFMyDg-W/

An agitated Mary told Jason that he shouldn’t have invited Christine, as they fell out when the latter began ignoring her while traveling with her fiancé at the time. Although the pair patched things up, Mary was furious to find out that Christine had become engaged without even telling her. Despite the women talking things through at Christine’s bridal gown fitting, the relationship between them is rockier than ever, and many viewers were shocked that Jason would invite her to Nico’s party without consulting Mary first. Many found the birthday party absurd anyway, similarly Mary’s reaction.

Mary and Jason were spotted together at many high-profile events in 2022, such as Coachella and the MTV Movie & TV Awards. Color-co-ordinating on the red carpet, Mary and Jason looked better than ever, with the stylish blonde donning a black top and sequined skirt and beaming from ear to ear in the presence of her debonair husband.

In a December 2022 interview, the husband-and-wife team opened up about their fertility journey. Mary, who was born in July 1980, shared that the first round of embryo freezing hadn’t worked out, and that they’d started a second one. Mary – who had her first son at sixteen and raised him as a single mother – was INITIALLY diffident about the idea of having another child. However, she changed her mind thanks to Romain’s eagerness and their seemingly unshakeable bond.

“He [Romain] is going to be the most amazing dad, because I had some reservations going into it, because I did it on my own, but he’s going to be amazing,” Mary confirmed. “He’s so loving and responsible and thoughtful, so he’s going to be great with a kid.” As Mary’s son and Romain are so close in age, Romain doesn’t try to act as a father figure, but they’re believed to be on good terms.

Season six of “Selling Sunset” premiered on Netflix in May 2023 and was an instant success. In August 2022, it was announced that Christine would officially be leaving the show, as she was moving on from the Oppenheim Group and starting her own firm with her husband. Mary, who has been part of the Oppenheim Group since 2014, certainly didn’t miss the blonde drama queen, and considered Christine’s departure as a chance for the rest of the cast to start over without any drama.

Although there have been plenty of storylines to cover in the new season, such as the aftermath of Chrishell Stause and Jason Oppenheim’s dramatic breakup, Mary and Romain have proven themselves to be one of the most stable couples in the series. Fans eagerly await news of their fertility journey, and any other important events in their lives, so we’ll be sure to keep you posted with any updates.

What Happened To Nurse Tisa from “1000-LB Sisters”? Why Did She Quit?

Published

on

“1000-Lb Sisters” is an American reality television series that airs on the TLC network, documenting in detail the lives of Amy Slaton-Halterman and her sister, Tammy Slaton. Both sisters previously appeared on “My 600-Lb Life”, and due to their popularity among audiences, the Slaton sisters earned their own series.

The series is filmed in Amy and Tammy’s hometown of Dixon, Kentucky, where “1000-Lb Sisters follows the siblings as they continue their weight loss journey, and provides viewers with entertainment by allowing the cameras to capture their daily lives. As such, the series grew to include many of the Slaton sisters’ closest family and relatives, including Tammy’s husband Michael Halterman, and their son, Gage Deon.

The series also includes several outside cast members, ranging from doctors, nurses and everyone else whom the Slaton sisters encounter during the documentation of their weight loss and medical struggles. One such former cast member, known simply as Nurse Tisa, quickly became a fan-beloved addition, though during the airing of the third season, fans noticed that Nurse Tisa disappeared.

As many might know, Tammy, though one of the stars of ‘1000-Lb Sisters’, earned a reputation for playing an antagonistic character in the series plot, often behaving villainously by not following her diet, or by mistreating the other cast members. Of course, the drama keeps things alive, though would unfortunately have consequences.

Rumours sparked among fans discussing the latest episodes on Reddit, began raging across the internet, sweeping viewers into believing that Tammy was possibly responsible for Nurse Tisa’s departure from the show. Although the arguments could turn anyway, certain Redditors suggested that Tammy physically assaulted Nurse Tisa, and that the producers, as well as TLC, tried to keep it quiet.

The show was further called out following “1000-Lb Sisters” reluctance to either discuss Nurse Tisa’s absence or announce her departure, leading fans to believe the rumours, and perhaps even exaggerating what little is known.

Whatever may be the case, fans and viewers had questions, wondering now how Nurse Tisa is doing, and why she really left the show. As such, it’s our duty to dive into the secrets of “1000-Lb Sisters”, hoping to find the correct answer.

Preview

As we search for the answers, embark on revisiting Nurse Tisa’s appearance on ‘1000-Lb Sisters’, discussing how and why she became a fan-adored favourite, we will recount her best moments on the show, before also diving into all the drama that unfolded on camera.

Following this, we will look into the real reason for her departure, addressing the rumours that have been making the rounds, intent on separating fact from fiction.

Who Is Nurse Tisa?

Nurse Tisa first appeared on TLC’s series “1000-Lb Sisters” third season, which aired from November 2021 until January 2022. Unfortunately, little personal information regarding Nurse Tisa can be found, as it seems that both her past and private life were kept away from the public.

Following the birth of Amy’s firstborn, Gage, during the second season, life for the Slatons was turned upside down. With busy schedules and now the responsibility of a baby’s needs to be prioritised, neither Chris, their brother, nor Amy could continue to dedicate their time to helping and caring for Tammy.

For some time, even before the cameras were allowed into the Slaton household, Amy and Chris solemnly dedicated themselves to caring for Tammy, aiding her in everyday tasks complicated by her unfortunate obesity, with Chris assuming the chief role. However, through the course of the series, Tammy was diagnosed with several health problems, and due to her antagonistic behaviour, Chris could no longer continue with his role.

With no one to assist Tammy, the family decided to hire a private nurse, to which Tammy strongly objected. Unfortunately for Tammy, neither of them had any other choice, and thus began an arduous search for a suitable applicant – of course dramatically exaggerated in front of the cameras.

Though met with difficulty, Amy and Chris found the perfect person for the job, and this would also become the opinion of the viewers. Introducing Nurse Tisa, who generated a rather questionable first impression, as viewers believed she might not be up for the task of taking care of and dealing with the ever-demanding Tammy.

Initially, Chris always took a voice-of-reason position when it came to Tammy, assuming a strict role while attempting to nurse Tammy to better health. This earned Chris the top spot as the fan favourite, though disappointed viewers when he agreed to pick up Tammy from rehab before she finished her program; that was also until Nurse Tisa came onto the show.

Following Tisa’s shaky introduction, it actually seemed as if she would get along with Tammy, as the pair began bonding in front of the cameras, with viewers even being hopeful that they might shape a friendship. Unfortunately, it didn’t take long for Nurse Tisa and the famously stubborn Tammy to bump heads.

Following a trip to the pool, Nurse Tisa struggled to push Tammy in her wheelchair, eventually insisting that the reality star walks to the car. As regular viewers would know, Tammy has always been reluctant to walk or do any demanding tasks, much to the dislike of her siblings. This behaviour often caused disagreements between the Slatons, but it became apparent that Nurse Tisa would not stand for Tammy’s behaviour.

The scene unfolded as the first of many arguments between Nurse Tisa and her patient, with Nurse Tisa taking a strong objection to Tammy’s pampering by treating her with tough love. Just as with Chris, fans and viewers took an immediate liking to Nurse Tisa, earning her the adoration and respect of the audience.

While viewers took favourably to Tisa, with some viewers even applauding her among Reddit discussions, the turn of events would unfortunately further villainize the already antagonistic role Tammy plays. Among the comments, fans suggested that Tisa played the role Chris never could, adding that where Chris attempted, Tisa executed.

While a great deal of drama would unfold before the audience, Tisa’s involvement with Tammy’s care would actually appear to have a positive effect. Tammy became more compliant with her diet and exercise routine, and viewers could notice a change in Tammy they had not seen before.

Some suggested that Nurse Tisa was more effective than Amy and Chris because she remained disinterested in the family dynamics, therefore Nurse Tisa would be more resilient to Tammy’s attempts at persuasion and manipulation. Others simply suggested that Nurse Tisa knows her job, and the results prove that she would be the perfect caretaker for Tammy.

Unfortunately, Nurse Tisa did not last very long, causing many to believe that the Slatons’ did not quite see Nurse Tisa’s true value. While none of the producers or cast members announced Nurse Tisa’s departure, she simply stopped making appearances in the show. Naturally, her absence sparked suspicions, and with rumours circulating that Tammy assaulted an unknown nurse, viewers eagerly began probing for the truth.

Some took to Reddit to discuss Nurse Tisa’s absence, and this is where most of the rumours reached boiling point. Although a heated discussion, the conspiracies of viewers, and the suggestions birthed from hearsay, all had no conclusive answer.

The common opinion among viewers, however, certainly looked favourable for Nurse Tisa, as all the fans seem to be upset about how Tammy treated her nurse. Regardless of opinion, people still wanted answers.

What Happened To Nurse Tisa?

Unfortunately, with neither the media nor the producers addressing the circumstances and motivations for Nurse Tisa’s departure, fans and viewers are left to discern the truth among themselves, which most are trying to find on Reddit threads, where “1000-Lb Sisters” seems to be discussed in honest opinion.

According to the discussions on Reddit, it has been suggested that Nurse Tisa left the show following a physical altercation with Tammy. It should be known though, that the alleged altercation has not been confirmed by Tammy, Nurse Tisa, or any other cast members or the show’s crew.

One suggestion on Reddit suggested that the rumours regarding Tammy’s misconduct towards a nurse could have happened while she attended rehab, thus the reason why she had to leave early. Of course, neither TLC nor the series’ producers would admit to such a scandal, and so try to recreate their own spin on what happened.

Others have suggested that Nurse Tisa ended her relationship with the Slatons off-screen due to professional motivations. As the discussion would conclude, assisting nurses seldom stay when patients are admitted to rehab or require full-time care with constant medical observation. As proof of this theory, Tammy has been in and out of the hospital due to declining health, and has also been using alternative care solutions such as nursing homes.

Though some suggested that Tammy had to resort to these new means because the show, and her siblings, can’t find anyone willing to take care of her, others comically commented that Tammy ate Nurse Tisa. Sadly, jokes aside, it seems impossible to gain a conclusive answer as to what happened to Nurse Tisa.

With TLC’s confidential approach, and so little information available on Nurse Tisa, fans can only speculate why she was eventually omitted from “1000-Lb Sisters”. As it would appear, not even the otherwise nosy gossip tabloids could dig anything up, so the most likely possibility is that Tammy and Nurse Tisa parted on friendly terms.

As far as the rumours are concerned, it’s never been confirmed that Tammy assaulted anyone, and if she did, TLC effectively covered that scandal. As things stand, the assault rumours remain their own mystery, and fans might never know the truth.

https://www.instagram.com/p/CpnN2X2uHX7/

Conclusion

Unfortunately, not all mysteries can be solved, and thus we can’t positively identify what happened to Nurse Tisa, or why she left “1000-Lb Sisters”. With little information about her available, neither can we inform her fans of her latest news.

Regardless, if the Slaton sister’s journey to a healthier, happier life interests you, feel free to catch the latest episodes – perhaps Nurse Tisa might return, though for now, it doesn’t seem likely that Tammy would need any help.
