Steve made his acting debut on television in 1990, although his role as Spencer in an episode of the series “All My Children”, was uncredited. Three years later, Steve was seen as Lane Bailey in an episode of “South Beach”, followed by his role as Duncan in an episode of the popular sitcom “Friends” in 1995.

Steven was next cast to play American Sergeant in the 1997 TV mini-series “Liberty! The American Revolution”, an historical war drama, which won the Peabody Award. In the following years Steve focused on his movie roles, and his next TV series appearance came in 2008, when he was seen in three episodes of the western series “Comanche Moon”.

Steve followed with his roles in “Strange Wilderness” (2008) and “A Perfect Getaway” (2009), among many others, before he was seen as Frank Heffley in the 2010 comedy “Diary of a Wimpy Kid”, reprising this role in its 2011 sequel “Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules”, and in the third part “Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Dog Days” in 2012.

Steve was again seen alongside Matthew McConaughey in the 2013 biographic drama “Dallas Buyers Club”, the story about an electrician and hustler, Ron Woodroof, who after being diagnosed with AIDS, began working around the system to help patients with the same disease to get the medication they needed. The movie had 87 award nominations, winning 84, including three Oscars for Best Motion Picture of the Year, Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role (Jared Leto), and Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role (Matthew McConaughey).

Another significant role for Steve was his portrayal of Dave in the 2016 comedy-drama “Captain Fantastic”, written and directed by Matt Ross, which brought Steve and his co-stars, Annalise Basso, Viggo Mortensen, Ann Dowd and others, a nomination for the CinEuphoria Award for Best Ensemble – International Competition.

Most recently, Steve was seen in “8-Bit Christmas” (2021), and “Tall Girl 2″ (2022), and was heard as Jedediah in the 2022 sequel “Night at the Museum: Kahmunrah Rises Again”. American actress Nancy Justine McKeon was born in Westbury, New York State USA, on 4 April 1966, making Aries her zodiac sign. Who is Rene Russo?

American actress, producer and model Rene Marie Russo was born in Burbank, California USA, on 17 February 1954, making Aquarius her zodiac sign. Primarily know for her modeling career, she’s also appeared in only TV series and movies, and is probably known best for playing the lead character Nina Romina in the critically acclaimed 2014 crime thriller movie “Nightcrawler”, written and directed by Dan Gilroy, and which also starred Jake Gyllenhaal and Bill Paxton. American actor Robert Hammond Patrick was born in Marietta, Georgia USA, on 5 November 1958, making Scorpio his zodiac sign. He’s appeared in close to 200 TV series and movies, but is probably still known best for playing T-1000 in the critically acclaimed 1991 science fiction action movie “Terminator 2: Judgment Day”, which James Cameron wrote and directed, and which starred Arnold Schwarzenegger, Linda Hamilton and Edward Furlong. It follows a cyborg who’s protecting 10 years old John from being killed by a more powerful cyborg than himself, and the movie won 37 of its 70 award nominations, including four Oscar wins for Best Sound and Best Effects, Sound Effects Editing, amongst others.

Robert’s still today active in the movie industry, and is currently shooting for the upcoming movies “Hounds of War” and “Hot Bath an’ a Stiff Drink 2”.

Education and early life

Robert was raised mostly in Marietta, but the family also lived in Ohio, Michigan and Massachusetts; he has four younger siblings, their father’s name is Robert M. Patrick, and mother’s Nadine, both of British descent.

Robert disliked acting while growing up, and refused to wear green tights required for his elementary school’s production of “Peter Pan”. He studied at Farmington High School and was passionate about sports during his time there, playing football and being member of its track and field team.

Robert matriculated in 1977 and then continued playing sports at Bowling Green State University, however, as he became passionate about acting, he chose to drop out and began working as a house painter to financially support himself.

In 1984, Robert was involved in a boating accident on Lake Erie; he spent three hours swimming and rescuing people from the water, and almost drowned. Following this, he moved to Los Angeles, California and began pursuing a career in the film industry.

Roles in movies

Robert’s debut film role was playing Deke in the 1987 action science fiction adventure “Equalizer 2000”, while some of his roles in the remainder of the ‘80s were in the 1987 action war adventure “Eye of the Eagle”, the 1987 war action “Behind Enemy Lines” and the action science fiction adventure “Future Hunters”.

The year 1992 saw him play Bad Cop in the musical comedy “Wayne’s World”, directed by Penelope Spheeris, and which starred Mike Myers, Dana Carvey and Rob Lowe. It follows two young adults as they’re trying to promote their cable show, and the movie won four of its nine award nominations. Robert appeared in several hit movies in the following a couple of years, including the 1993 action adventure comedy “Last Action Hero”, the 1994 action adventure comedy “Double Dragon” and the 1996 short science fiction action “T2 3-D: Battle Across Time”.

He portrayed Jack Rucker in the 1997 crime thriller “Cop Land”, written and directed by James Mangold, and which starred Sylvester Stallone, Harvey Keitel and Ray Liotta. It follows the Sheriff of a community in New Jersey who’s just discovered that the city’s a front for mafia and corruption, and the film won one of its two award nominations.

Robert started off the 2000s by appearing in the action adventure comedy “Spy Kids”, the action adventure “Texas Rangers” and the crime action “Backflash”, all released in 2001. The year 2003 saw him portray Ray Carter in the action adventure comedy “Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle”, directed by McG, and which starred Drew Barrymore, Lucy Liu and Cameron Diaz; it follows the Angels as they’re investigating a series of murders, and the movie won nine of its 30 award nominations.

Some of Robert’s other notable performances in the 2000s were in the 2004 action thriller “Ladder 49”, the 2005 biographical musical “Walk the Line”, and the 2009 war comedy “The Men Who Stare at Goats”.

He played one of the main characters Daniel Kiefer in the hit 2012 action thriller “Safe House”, directed by Daniel Espinosa, and which also starred Denzel Washington and Ryan Reynolds. It tells the story of a CIA agent who’s been tasked with protecting a fugitive at a safe house, and the movie won one of its eight award nominations. Some of the most popular movies in which Robert appeared in the remainder of the 2010s were the 2014 biographical crime drama “Kill the Messenger”, the 2017 crime mystery “The Last Rampage” and the 2018 crime thriller “Back Roads”.

One of his most recent film roles has been starring as Dr. Cain in the 2022 action thriller “Dark Asset”, which follows a charming man who’s flirting with a woman at a bar by telling her a story about spies and a military scientist who’s hunting him.

Roles in TV series

Robert made his debut TV series appearance in the 1989 episode “Once Upon a Time…” of the family adventure “The New Lassie”, and he only gained recognition when cast to voice one of the lead characters Race Bannon in 24 episodes of the 1996 animated action adventure “The Real Adventures of Jonny Quest”, which also starred Frank Welker and Quinton Flynn, and follows a teenager and his family as they’re fighting supernatural forces; the series was nominated for two awards.

From 2000 through 2002, Robert portrayed John Doggett in 40 episodes of the critically acclaimed crime mystery “The X-Files”, which Chris Carter created, and which starred Mitch Pileggi, Gillian Anderson and David Duchovny. It follows FBI agents Dana Scully and Fox Mulder as they’re investigating supernatural events’; the series aired from 1993 through 2018 and won 100 of its 317 award nominations. Robert was then cast to play/voice characters in an episode of the action adventure “Stargate: Atlantis”, the short animated action “Duck Dodgers” (voice role) and the fantasy adventure “Lost”.

From 2006 through 2009, he starred as Colonel Tom Ryan in all the 69 episodes of the action thriller “The Unit”, created by David Mamet, and which also starred Dennis Haysbert, Regina Taylor and Audrey Marie Anderson. It follows the lives of several super-secret operators, and the series won two of its 21 award nominations.

Robert then went on to portray Master Chief Joseph Prosser in all the 13 episodes of the 2012 action mystery “Last Resort”, Jacob Fuller in 10 episodes of the 2014 crime fantasy action “From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series” and Cabe Gallo in all the 93 episodes of the crime action “Scorpion”, from 2014 through 2018.

One of his most recent TV series roles has been portraying Auggie Smith – aka White Dragon – in eight episodes of the 2022 action adventure comedy “Peacemaker”, which James Gunn created, and which starred Freddie Stroma, Danielle Brooks and John Cena. Set after the events in the movie “The Suicide Squad”, the series follows Peacemaker who’s just returned home as a free man, and it was nominated for 20 awards.

Other credits

Robert’s voiced characters in five video games, most recently Deuce Williams in the 2005 “The Outfit”, S. P. I. K. E. in the 2013 “LocoCycle” and Coach Red O’Brien in the 2020 “Madden NFL 21”.

He has seven producing credits, which include the 2019 horror thriller comedy movie “Tone-Deaf”, the 2021 crime mystery film “Rushed” and the 2022 action thriller movie “Dark Asset”.

Some of Robert’s most recent talk-show appearances have been in “IMDb on the Scene – Interviews”, “The Talk” and “Inside of You with Michael Rosenbaum”.

Awards and nominations

Robert’s won four of his 10 award nominations. He won a 2001 Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy & Horror Films Saturn Award for Best Actor on Television, for his performance in “The X-Files”, a 2005 Temecula Valley International Film Festival Award for Best Actor, for “The Fix” and a 2021 Mammoth Lakes Film Festival Award for Cast, for his and his colleagues’ performance in “What Josiah Saw”; Robert and his other colleagues also won a 2022 FANtastic Horror Film Festival Award for Best Ensemble Cast, for “A Place Among the Dead”.

Love life and relationships

Robert prefers to keep his family away from the media’s attention, but it’s known that he’s been married for more than three decades now.

He and American actress Barbara Patrick married in a private ceremony on 24 November 1990; she’s appeared in 14 TV series and movies, and is perhaps known best for playing Barbara Doggett in two episodes (2002) of the series “The X-Files”, while she had also previously appeared alongside Robert in the 1994 crime action movie “Zero Tolerance”.

Barbara gave birth to their daughter Austin Hooper Patrick on 23 March 1997, and their son Samuel Bob Jimmy followed on 18 August 2000.

Robert’s yet to mention other women whom he’s maybe been with, he’s married to Barbara Patrick as of April 2023, and they have two children together.

Interesting facts and hobbies

Robert’s a devout Episcopalian.

He’s passionate about motorcycles, and is a member of the motorcycle club Boozefighters.

Robert took an exhaustive three-month training after winning the role of T-1000 in the 1991 movie “Terminator 2: Judgment Day”; he later revealed that he only slept, ate, worked out at the gym and took vitamins during those 90 days.

He had mostly small roles in the first 10 years of his career, so also worked as a bartender to financially support himself.

Robert’s brother Richard Patrick’s today a successful musician, and is a member of the rock ‘n’ roll bands Nine Inch Nails and Filter.

One of Robert’s favorite actors is Anthony Hopkins, and some of his favorite movies include “Meet Joe Black”, “You Will Meet a Tall Dark Stranger” and “The Father”.
