Nia Renee Hill was born in Los Angeles, California USA, on 2 June 1969 – her zodiac sign is Gemini and she holds American nationality. She is an actress, but perhaps best known for being the wife of Bill Burr, a famous American stand-up comedian and actor.

Childhood and education

Nia was raised alongside her two sisters in Los Angeles, by their father who was a comedy manager and their mother who was working at a local market. However, the two soon divorced and the girls started living with their father, who later married a woman who had two sons, thus Nia and her sisters have two stepbrothers.

Nia was motivated by her father to pursue a career as an actress and a stand-up comedian. She studied at Greenville County High School where she was a member of the school’s drama club, and after matriculation in 1987, she enrolled at Emerson College, Boston graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree in media arts in 1991. Career as an actress and other ventures

Nia worked several jobs while trying to find work in the film industry – it took her 10 years to do so. In 2001, she worked as a casting assistant on the drama series “The Education of Max Bickford”, which starred Richard Dreyfuss and Marcia Gay Harden, and which follows a man teaching history at a girl’s college at which his daughter is studying.

The series won three awards and was nominated for two others.

In 2003, Nia served as the talent coordinator for the episode “Popcopy & Clayton Bigsby” of the comedy music series “Chappelle’s Show”, and six years later in 2009, she made her debut film appearance portraying the lead character Rhonda in the short drama movie “Carpool”, which starred Sweetie Duren and Shonna Major and which follows a girl who has to decide whether to work on her future or to keep dating her convict boyfriend. In 2011, she appeared as the supporting character Tasha Smith in two episodes of the comedy series “Lila, Long Distance” but which was cancelled after only five episodes.

In 2012, Nia starred in the 30-minute long comedy drama film “Did You Look for Work This Week?” which follows a woman reshaping her entire life.

Nia appeared in the short comedy musical film “Sarah Silverman: Diva” in 2013, as well as in the comedy movie “Divorce: A Love Story” which follows two people who realize after their divorce that they can’t live without one another. The year 2014 saw Nia work in the costume and wardrobe department for the short comedy film “Pizzazz: Where’s My Movie?”, directed and written by Aliza Pearl, while her next role was portraying Leslie in two episodes of the comedy horror series “Santa Clarity Died” in 2017. It follows the real estate agent Joel whose world turns upside down after his wife Sheila dies; the series was nominated for three awards .

Some of Nia’s latest appearances have been in the comedy drama series “Crashing” in 2018, which follows a stand-up comedian who has to rethink his life after his wife divorces him, and in the animation comedy drama series ‘F Is for Family” in 2019 in which she appeared in six episodes as Georgia Roosevelt. It stars Bill Burr, Laura Dern, and Justin Long and follows the Murphy Family living in the ‘70s; it has been nominated for four awards including two Primetime Emmy during its run since 2015.

He is best known for portraying Patrick Kuby in the neo-Western crime drama series “Breaking Bad”, which starred Bryan Cranston, Aaron Paul and Anna Gunn, and which follows a chemistry teacher who goes on to produce and sell methamphetamine after learning that he’s about to die from lung cancer. The series was a major hit, winning 153 awards including two Golden Globes, and nominated for 234 others.

Bill was raised as an only child in Canton by his father Robert Edmund Burr who was a dentist, and his mother Linda Ann who was a nurse. He attended a local high school where he became interested in acting and stand-up comedy, and upon matriculation in 1987, he enrolled at Emerson College, graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in radio in 1993.
