Who is Randall Park?
American actor, screenwriter and comedian Randall Park was born in Los Angeles, California USA on 23 March 1974, meaning that Aries is his zodiac sign. He’s appeared in nearly 200 movies and TV series, but is perhaps known best for portraying Jimmy Woo in six episodes of the 2021 action comedy mini-series “WandaVision”, which starred Paul Bettany and Elizabeth Olsen, and was created by Jac Schaeffer. It follows superheroes Vision and Wanda Maximoff who’ve started to believe that not everything in their lives is as it seems – the mini-series won 32 of its 106 award nominations.
Randall’s still today highly active in the film industry and is shooting for four upcoming TV series and three movies, including the film “Totally Killer”, the series “Blue Eye Samurai” and the movie “Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom”.
Education and early life
Randall was raised in Castle Heights, Los Angeles by his Korean immigrant parents; his father was the owner of a one-hour photo store, and his mother worked at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) as an accountant.
Randall studied at Hamilton High School and it was during his time there that he became interested in comedy and acting, although he also enjoyed playing soccer with his peers and running track. Upon matriculating in 1992, he enrolled at UCLA, and there founded the Asian American theatre company Lapu, the Coyote that Cares; their first play was the “Treehouse Bachelor Society”, which Randall had written.
He graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in English language and literature in 1997, and with a Master’s degree in Asian American studies in 1999; he spent the following a couple of years working as a print designer for the newspaper “New Times LA”.
Roles in TV series
Randall’s debut TV series role was playing Octopus Man in the 2003 episode “Strap On” of the action crime comedy “Fastlane”, while he was then cast to appear in an episode of the crime comedy “Reno 911!”, the crime drama “Las Vegas” and the action mystery “Alias”.
Randall guest starred in an episode of many series in the 2000s, and in 2009 and 2010, he starred as Ezekiel Ikea and two other characters in all the seven episodes of the short comedy “Ikea Heights”, which also starred Whitney Avalon and Matt Braunger, and is a fake soap opera shot at an Ikea furniture store.
From 2011 through 2013, Randall portrayed Martin Fukanaga – aka Jellyface – in 27 episodes of the action adventure comedy “Supah Ninja”, which starred Gracie Dzienny, Carlos Knight and Ryan Potter, and was created by Eric Garcia and Leo Chu. It follows the lives of three teenagers who’ve become ninjas, and the series won two of its five award nominations. Randall could then have been seen appearing in an episode of the comedy “Markees vs.”, the comedy “Mr. Box Office”, and the short comedy “New York Stories”.

From 2012 through 2017, he played Danny Chung in 13 episodes of the popular comedy “Veep”, which starred Julia Louis-Dreyfus and was created by Armando Iannucci. It follows the life of newly appointed US Vice President, the series aired from 2012 through 2019 and won 77 of its 325 award nominations.
Some of Randall’s most recent TV series roles have been in all 10 episodes of the 2022 comedy “Blockbuster”, 29 episodes of the comedy “Young Rock” since 2021, and 17 episodes of the animated romantic comedy “Human Resources” since 2022 (voice role).
Roles in movies
Randall’s debut film role was playing Joel in the 2003 short comedy “Dragon of Love”, and some of his following roles were in the 2005 drama “Will Unplugged”, the 2005 romantic comedy “American Fusion” and the 2007 comedy “Universal Remote”.
The year 2008 saw him play Resident in the crime drama “Winged Creatures”, which starred Forest Whitaker and Kate Beckinsale, and was directed by Rowan Woods, It follows a group of strangers who’ve survived a shooting at a restaurant in Los Angeles. The remainder of the 2000s saw Randall appear in the 2009 short comedy “Donation”, the 2009 short drama “1-900-Drinking-Buddy” and the 2010 comedy “The 41 Years Old Virgin Who Knocked Up Sarah and Felt Superbad About It”.
He played Rep in the hit 2014 comedy “Neighbors”, which Nicholas Stoller directed, and which starred Seth Rogen, Zac Efron and Rose Byrne. It follows a couple with a baby who’ve moved next to a fraternity house – the movie won seven of its 18 award nominations.
Some of Randall’s most recent film roles have been in the 2022 comedy “The People We Hate at the Wedding”, the 2023 romantic comedy “Shortcomings” and the 2023 action adventure comedy “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania”.

Randall’s written 13 and directed eight movies and TV series, while some of the TV series which he both wrote and directed were the 2006 short comedy “Dr. Miracles”, the 2009 short comedy “The Food”, and the 2010 comedy “Dumb Professor”.

Some of his nominations include two Critics Choice Television Awards for Best Actor in a Comedy Series in 2016 and 2018, both for “Fresh Off the Boat”, a 2020 Houston Film Critics Society Award for Best Original Song for “Always Be My Maybe” and a 2021 Pena de Prata Award for Best Ensemble in a Limited Series, for his performance in “WandaVision” (shared with colleagues).
Love life and relationships
Randall and his wife Jae Suh Park rarely speak about their love life in public, but some details regarding their marriage are still known; Jae’s a Korean-American actress with 53 credits to her name, while she’s perhaps known best for starring as Marianne in all 16 episodes of the comedy series “Friends from College”, which aired from 2017 through 2019.
Randall and Jae married in a small ceremony on 29 August 2008, and she gave birth to their daughter Ruby Louise Park in 2012; the married couple appeared alongside in the short movie “Love, NY” and the romantic comedy series “The Mindy Project”, while their daughter starred with them in the 2013 superhero comedy web series “Baby Mentalist”.
Ruby’s autistic. Randall spoke about his daughter’s autism on the podcast “Working It Out”, and revealed that he and his wife have become supporters of the non-profit organization KultureCity, while Randall’s today sitting on its board of directors.
Randall’s yet to speak of the women whom he had dated prior to meeting Jae; he’s married to Jae Suh Park as of June 2023, and they have a daughter together.
