Alanna Noel Ubach was born on 3 October 1975, in Downey, California, USA, the daughter of a Mexican mother Sidna, and a Puerto Rican father Rodolfo Ubach. She attended USC film school, however, she dropped out after just one semester, as her career had already got going.

Career Beginnings and Early Success

Alanna began her career in the early 1990s, appearing in a number of television shows and films. In 1992 and 1993, she played the role of Josie in the science education series “Beakman’s World”, then went on to star in the 1993 film “Airborne” playing the character of Gloria. The same year, she had the supporting role as Maria in the hit musical comedy “Sister Act 2: Back in the Habit”, which starred Whoopi Goldberg. In 1994, Ubach appeared playing the role of Emily Rago in the comedy-drama film “Renaissance Man” alongside Danny DeVito.

Her breakthrough role came in 1995 when she played the character of Noreen in the comedy film “The Brady Bunch Movie” which was a parody of the classic television series. The movie was a commercial success, and critics praised Alanna’s performance. Her success in “The Brady Bunch Movie” led to more high-profile roles.

In 1996, Alanna continued to build her portfolio as an actress with several supporting roles in different genres. She played the role of Mesquita in the crime thriller “Freeway”, which starred Reese Witherspoon as a troubled teenager, and that same year, she played the character of Nikki in “Johns”, a drama film about male hustlers in Los Angeles. She also had a supporting role in the made-for-TV movie “Seduced by Madness: The Diane Borchardt Story”, playing Shannon Johnson, a character based on a real-life murder case. In 2001, Alanna starred as Serena McGuire in the hit comedy film “Legally Blonde”, co-starring Reese Witherspoon as Elle Woods, a sorority girl who decides to attend Harvard Law School to win back her ex-boyfriend. Ubach’s role is one of Elle’s sorority sisters, who becomes her friend and helps her with her legal studies. In 2002, Ubach appeared in the romantic comedy film “The Perfect You”, playing the character of Wendy. The film is centered on two young people who meet and fall in love on the Brooklyn Bridge.

Ubach reprised her role as Serena McGuire in the 2003 sequel to “Legally Blonde”, entitled “Legally Blonde 2: Red, White & Blonde”, which follows Elle Woods as she travels to Washington, D.C., to fight for animal rights legislation.

After these successes, Alanna continued her career successfully, in 2004 appearing in the TV movie “30 Days Until I’m Famous” as the character Daisy Fresh, a flamboyant stylist who helps a young woman navigate the entertainment industry. That same year, Alanna had a supporting role in the hit comedy “Meet the Fockers”, playing Isabel Villalobos, the love interest of Greg Focker’s father. The film was a box office success, and helped Alanna gain further exposure.

In 2005, Alanna had a recurring role in the TV series “The Closer”, playing the character of Mrs Pruitt, and appeared in the comedy film “Waiting…”, playing Naomi, a waitress at a chain restaurant. Later that year, Ubach appeared in an episode of the medical drama series “House”, as Dr. Louise Harper.
