Early Life and Career Beginnings
At a young age, Harry gained a lot of exposure to the entertainment industry thanks to his father, an author who also worked as a comedian and an actor. He grew up alongside a twin brother Sam, his older brother Tom, and a younger brother Paddy.
While he wasn’t initially interested in the craft, he became interested in acting thanks to his brother’s pursuits and his father’s work. As he came to know more about the entertainment industry, he became more attached to the inner workings of films, and not just the acting side of it. He wanted to know more about how films were made and the production of a large-scale project. He finally got a big chance when his family went to in Thailand to join his brother Tom, as he was cast in his breakthrough role in “The Impossible”.
Acting Work
While on the set of “The Impossible”, Harry gained more exposed to the workings of a major Hollywood studio, which further fueled his passion to one day create films. Along with his twin brother, the duo was given acting roles in the film, as seen in shots alongside Tom Holland. “The Impossible” is a disaster film, telling the story of Maria Belon as she and her family encounter the Indian Ocean tsunami which killed over 200,000 people in various countries, brought about by an undersea volcanic eruption that registered over nine in magnitude on the Richter scale.
The tsunami that grew to 100 feet and reached well inland, causing devastation in countries such as India, Thailand, Indonesia and Sri Lanka.
The film starred Tom alongside Naomi Watts and Ewan McGregor, and was highly successful, receiving a lot of positive reviews – Watts was nominated for an Academy Award for her performance. Throughout their stay, they grew close to the actors and the cast members, who became fond of Harry’s interest in films. He returned home and began visualizing concepts for films he wanted to make, but it wasn’t long until he began acting once more.

In 2013 Harry worked with Naomi Watts once more in the film “Diana” which told the story of the last two years of the life of Diana, Princess of Wales, mainly based on the book “Diana: Her Last Love” by Kate Snell. The film begins with Diana’s divorce from the Prince of Wales, Charles, her life as she goes around the world meeting future lover Hasnat Khan, and the events that led up to her tragic death in the Pont Alma car crash. In the film, he portrayed a young Prince Harry, and had more screen time than his previous work in “The Impossible”.
Shortly afterwards, he began creating short films which he posted on the YouTube channel Holland Shorts. He frequently collaborated with his brothers, who were the stars of his film creations. In 2015 the short film “Tweet” gained a bit of attention due to Tom Holland trying out directing alongside his younger brother. Harry’s other projects include “Hugo Hans: Wild Runners”, “In the Middle of the Night”, “Roses for Lily”, and “The Mysterious House on Hoarder Hill”.
