Kandyse McClure was born in Durban, South Africa, on 22 March 1980, so her zodiac sign is Aries and she now holds Canadian nationality. She is an actress, best known for portraying Anastasia Dualla in the action adventure drama series “Battlestar Galactica”, which starred Edward James Olmos, Mary McDonnnell and Jamie Bamber and which follows a battle ship Galactica fighting against the Cylons who are threating to kill the remaining humans travelling through space. The series aired from 2004 to 2009, winning three Emmy Awards and 38 other awards, while having been nominated for another 91 – Kandyse was rewarded a Peabody Award for Excellence in Television in 2005.

Early life and education

Kandyse was raised in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, as her parents moved there when she was two years old – her father was a travelling salesman, while her mother was a teacher. Kandyse grew up dreaming about becoming a famous model or an actress one day, and studied at West Vancouver Secondary School where she was a member of the school’s drama club, appearing in most of the plays they performed. After matriculating in 1998, she didn’t enroll at a college, but rather decided to work on her acting career.

In 2001, she was invited to appear as Brianna Lake in the episode “Abduction” of the series “The Outer Limits”, and as Kim in three episodes of the comedy drama series “Just Deal”. The two are currently living in Toronto, Ontario – they don’t have any children.

Ian attended a local high school in Toronto, and after matriculation enrolled at the Ontario College of Art and Design University, graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in environmental design in 2005. He worked several jobs for the following two years before joining Gsus Sindustries in August 2007, working as their Operations Manager until February 2013. Since October 2014, he has been the Director of BLAKGOLD Productions.

Hobbies and other interests

Kandyse’s main hobby is travelling, and the famous actress has been all around Canada and the US, while she travels to South Africa at least once per year. She has also travelled to Europe on several occasions, and visited countries such as England, France and Spain among others.

She is a philanthropist, and is currently working for the CARE Canada organization, which aims to help those living in poverty in the world’s underdeveloped regions. Kandyse is also a lover of animals, and has a pet dog.
