Age, Early Life, and Education Background

FBG Duck was born Carlton D. Weekly under the Sagittarius zodiac sign on 6 Dec 1993, in Woodlawn, Chicago. His mother was LeeSheena White – he hasn’t revealed the name of his father, who was a former serviceman, but it’s reported that he was arrested and imprisoned for 24 years for a crime he never committed, before his son was born. He was brought up in South Side, Chicago, where he became involved in gang violence when he was still a child. FBG Duck had twin sisters, one of whom, Andrea White, died in an apartment fire in 2014. The late rapper also had an older brother named Jermaine Robinson, aka FBG Brick, who was murdered in Chicago. Weekly developed an interest in music when he was a child, and began writing rap songs when he was a teenager.

Weekly attended a local private high school in Chicago, Illinois, and matriculated to the University of Chicago.

Career

When he was a teenager, FBG Duck teamed up with his friends to create the rap group Tooka Gang, which often performed in local events. The group became popular when they began uploading their music videos onto YouTube, shortly afterwards changing its name to the Clout Boyz or Boy Gang, and going on to release numerous rap songs including “Do It Like Me,” “Right Now,” and “Damn.” Weekly gained massive popularity for his hit single “Slide”, which garnered over 50 million views on YouTube. Thereafter, he released a remix of the song, which featured 21 Savage. In 2011, he signed a contract with Sony Music Entertainment, which significantly propelled his career – some of FBG Duck’s famous songs include “Gang Anthem,” “Eat Freestyle,” “Dead Bitches,” and “Common Sense,” among others.

FBG Group and its Association with Gangster Disciples

Fly Boy Gang – FBG Group, also known as Clout Boyz – often releases songs talking ill and criticizing their rival rap groups. In 2013, two members of the Lil Jeff and Young Mello, were shot dead by one of their rival rap gangs. Most FBG group rappers belonged to the Gangster Disciples (GDs) gang, which was formerly known as Black Gangster Disciple Nation (BGND). GDs was created by Larry Hoover in the ‘60s and most of its members previously served in the US Army. They were involved in various political movements, and criminal activities including murder, drug trafficking, robbery and extortion. They often feuded with members of their rival groups, which included Four Corner Hustlers, Four Corner, Vice Lords, and People’s Nation.

Social Media Presence

FBG Duck was active on Instagram (@real_fbgduck063) with over 380,000 followers. He joined Twitter – @FBG_DUCK – in February 2012, and garnered over 90,000 followers. Moreover, the late Chicago native had a self-titled YouTube channel that had over 420,000 subscribers and over 221 million views. He was fond of posting music videos on the platform.

Personal Life

FBG Duck was in a brief relationship with a woman named Korie. After their break-up, Korie began dating the Black Disciple gang member, Trey5, who is the brother of King Von aka O’Block, and Bruh Bruh. It is reported that FBG Duck’s girlfriend once stabbed him in the stomach – he displayed the knife scar in the music video for the song “Who the Fuck Is Dude” by Edai and King Lil Jay. In April 2020, Weekly shared his picture with a little girl on his Instagram account – it is alleged that the girl is his daughter. The rapper was unmarried at the time of his death.

FBG Duck was fond of smoking marijuana as seen on his social media accounts. In 2018, he had an altercation with the late rapper, Tekashi 6ix9ine. Weekly followed the Christianity religion.

FBG Duck’s Tragic Death

Shortly before his death, FBG Duck stated during an interview with VLAD TV that he was fearing for his life, and that he thought about being murdered every day. He was tragically shot 21 times in broad daylight on 4 August 2020 at the Dolce & Gabbana store in Gold Coast, Chicago, and was pronounced dead at the Northwestern Memorial Hospital. During the incident, the rapper’s girlfriend and another customer who was waiting in line at the high-end store were wounded. According to a Chicago police report, a $100,000 bounty had been placed on the head of the acclaimed rapper by an unknown person who was affiliated with the street gang Black Disciples. It’s reported that Weekly was killed for making fun of a deceased rival gang member.

Following the death of FBG Duck, numerous rappers and friends expressed their condolences on their social media handles. The American community activist, Ja’Mal Green, who was outspoken about the Black Lives Matter movement tweeted, ‘Popular rapper FBG Duck has just been pronounced dead after being shot in the Gold Coast an hour ago. Prayers up for his family, bring justice to them after this senseless act.’

FBG Duck’s Brother’s Death

On 19 July 2017, Weekly’s brother, FBG Brick, was murdered in cold blood along with his good friend, Coby Mack (also known as Stanley Jacob Mack) in the district of Gold Coast in Chicago. FBG Brick, who was 26 years old at the time of his death, lived in South Shore, Chicago while his friend, Mack was a resident of Austin, Chicago. After autopsy, it was ruled that the duo had succumbed to multiple gunshot wounds and the authorities concluded that their death was a case of homicide; it’s unclear who murdered the two.

FBG Duck was of Afro-American ethnicity and had a set of dark brown eyes and black dreadlocks. He stood at an impressive height of 6ft 4ins (1.93m), weighed approximately 210lbs (95kgs), and his vital statistics were 40-33-15. Who is Joseline Hernandez?

Puerto Rican rapper, actress and TV personality Joseline Hernandez was born in Ponce, Puerto Rico, on 3 November 1986, making Scorpio her zodiac sign. She began attracting attention when cast to star in the VH1 reality show “Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta”, which has been airing since 2012, and today stars Mimi Faust, Rasheeda and Karlie Redd. It follows the lives of some of the wealthiest women from Atlanta, Georgia ,and the show’s won one of its five award nominations.

Education and early life

For the first three years of her life, Joseline was raised in Ponce’s public housing system by her father whose name remains undisclosed, and mother Carmen; her father then died from a heroin overdose, and she was six when she and her five siblings moved to Florida USA with their mother and stepfather Luis.

The family struggled financially, especially because Joseline’s youngest brother’s autistic. She studied at a local high school, and was 16 when she began working as a stripper, to help her family, using the name ‘Shenellica Bettencourt’; Joseline was arrested twice during this time, aged 17 and 21, for lascivious behavior.

Joseline was then invited to appear in the TV specials “BET Awards 2015” and “VH1 BIG in 2015 with Entertainment Weekly”, and in 2017 starred in 10 episodes of the musical news talk-show “The Real”; it aired from 2013 through 2022, starred Adrienne Houghton, Jeannie Mai Jenkins and Loni Love, and won 11 of its 40 award nominations.

She signed a contract with streaming service Zeus Network on 11 October 2019, and has since 19 January 2020 been starring in her own reality show “Joseline’s Cabaret”; some of Joseline’s most recent talk-show appearances have been in “Cornbread TV”, “Bobby I Love You, Purrr”, and “College Hill: Celebration Edition”.

Acting credits

Joseline has two acting credits. She played Michelle in four episodes (2016-2017) of the musical series “Star”, which starred Brittany O’Grady, Ryan Destiny and Jude Demorest, and was created by Tom Donaghy and Lee Daniels. It tells the story of a musical group founded by three women, and the series was nominated for seven awards.

In 2022, Joseline appeared in the episode “White Knights” of the crime series “P-Valley”, created by Katori Hall, and which today stars Nicco Annan, Shannon Thornton and J. Alphonse Nicholson. It follows the lives of a group of strippers, the series has been airing since 2020, and has won 10 of its 47 award nominations.

Joseline uploads her music videos onto her self-titled YouTube channel, which she launched on 12 February 2020, and which today numbers over 21 million views of her seven videos combined. The channel’s subscribed to by over 80,000 people, and we’re going to cover Joseline’s three most viewed videos, which’ve contributed to her internet popularity.

Early Life

There’s no information about Jumex’s family and childhood, and details about his early education are also undisclosed, except that it’s known he attended the Lyon Township High School. However, his abuse of drugs, his depression and several other personal problems which led him to abandon his studies have been revealed.

Growing up in Brookfield, Kiessling was heavily influenced by the local rap scene. He also developed an interest in rock and metal music, becoming a fan of artists such as David Bowie, Black Flag and the Summer Set.

Although music was always his main interest, Kiessling also became a fan of the Japanese anime culture. His favorite work of this genre is “Tokyo Ghoul”, based on the famous manga (visual novel) by Ishida Sui – the story is set in a world where human flesh eaters – described as ghouls – live amongst normal humans, hiding their true nature.

It’s no wonder why the teen Mark was so enthralled by the series, since the work is characterized by its dark but interesting horror theme, as Guillermo Kurten of CBR summarized it: ‘is a visual feast in its own style.’ (…) ‘The art especially comes into its own when depicting scenes of horror. This is emphasized also both in expressiveness of the characters and the action. Although Kiessling might have been influenced by “Tokyo Ghoul” when it comes to the visual aspects of his work, anime in general has inspired his music as well, confirmed by him in an interview with AltPress in 2019: ‘Definitely inspired by the image and the music because anime theme songs have crazy breaks to it, I really like how they just all of a sudden build up so fast. That’s what I try to put in my music.’

Career

Early Steps

Kiessling started his music career in high school, when he became a member of the band named No Signal. Although it’s known the band had a punk style, there’s no information about any music releases or other members.

After leaving high school and band, Kiessling moved to Los Angeles in search of new opportunities.

Jumex

In February 2018 and under the name of Lil Jumex, he released his first extended play (EP) entitled “Luvburnz”, which contained four tracks, and was followed by “Screwed” in March that year.

Although these albums weren’t commercially successful, it took the interest of Taco Bennett of Odd Future, who it took upon himself to help Kiessling co-write and produce his single “Trapped”, released under the name of Jumex, and is based on his own experiences: ‘(it) goes along with being stuck in Chicago mentally when I was 17, stuck in school trying to make music. I felt trapped in a system, basically.’ Bennet also produced the music video for the song, which gained the attention of the media and fans due to its outstanding aesthetic and production. To date the video has more than eight million views on YouTube.

Shawn Jackson from Drillking, praised Jumex for the song: ‘Is something else, a special breed; a mix between some lil Peep and Scarlxrd for those in the rap scene; as his screamo chants could be compared to those of the ultimate king of the emo genre, the one and only Oly Sikes, Bring Me The Horizon’s singer.’

However, on sites such as AlbumOfTheYear.org and RateYourMusic.com the song didn’t attract positive reviews, being strongly criticized by users of both webs.

2019: Loner, Lover & Tour

Jumex EP “Loner” was released in June 2019, including the title track and songs such as “Trapped”, “Alive in My Coffin” and “Billie Eilish”. The latter was not only dedicated to the singer of the same name, but was also promoted as an individual single, and was praised for its aesthetically pleasing video.

This album was special for Jumex, as he found inspiration from his own past experiences to create the songs: ‘“Loner” was about my past life in Chicago before I came to L.A., so that’s like escaping the mentality (of) being trapped in Chicago with the drugs, and it’s never good to be around drugs’.

Although the title track accumulated a considerable number of views on YouTube, the EP didn’t gain the praise of experts or of the online music communities. It obtained a score of 15 out of 100 on AlbumOfTheYear.com, and negative critiques towards the album were abundant on other sites as well.

Despite the negative comments Jumex embarked on his first overseas tour in June 2019, during which he visited various cities in Japan as an opener for the hardcore band Crossfaith.

The tour was especially thrilling for Jumex, as it was one of his dreams to visit the Asian country: ‘This is exactly what I expected. Everything’s so cool and unique. But it’s also crazy how calm everybody is and how chill everything is.’

Finding himself welcomed by the Japanese public, Jumex was re-inspired to continue pursuing his music career: ‘Seeing the audience connect and sing my lyrics is really cool. It’s such a life high. It’s just gonna get better from here.’

Jumex released his next EP entitled “Lover” in November 2019, which contained a collaboration with the renowned drummer Travis Barker for the song “Spraypaint”. However, The EP wasn’t musically praised by experts, though it received fewer negative comments than its predecessor album.

In September 2019, Jumex was the opening act for Yungblud’s concert in Los Angeles, which was followed by a show in November at “Day N’ Vegas Festival”.

Recent Projects

After the release of the video for “Spraypaint” in October 2019, Jumex continued promoting his music until the end of year.

In February 2020 Jumex released “XOXO” in collaboration with his fellow rapper Lil Xan. The event was celebrated with a live concert in Chicago.

Darryl Dwayne Granberry Jr. – better known by his stage names PontiacMadeDDG and DDG – was born in Pontiac, Michigan USA, on 10 October 1997 – his zodiac sign is Libra and he holds American nationality.
