Maiara Kylior Walsh was born in Seattle, Washington State USA, on 18 February 1988 – her zodiac sign is Aquarius and she holds American nationality. She is an actress, perhaps still best known for her portrayal of Meena Paroom, one of the lead characters in the comedy series “Cory in the House” which aired from 2007 to late 2008, and which was created by Marc Warren and Dennis Rinsler. The series also starred Kyle Massey and Jason Dolley, and follows Cory and his father Victor Baxter as they start a new life in San Francisco, California – it was nominated for two Image and two Young Artist Awards.

Early life and education
Maiara spent the first two years of her childhood in Seattle, where she was raised an only child by her American father and her Brazilian mother, at which point they moved to Sao Paulo in Brazil; it was there that she learned to speak and write both Portuguese and Spanish. When she was 11, the family moved to Simi Valley in California, as Maiara’s mother wanted to pursue her college degree there.
Maiara attended Royal High School, at which she became interested in acting, and tried her best to appear in all the plays performed at the school. She also practiced acting at a local theatre, and upon matriculation in 2006, Maiara didn’t enroll at a college, but rather decided to focus on becoming a famous actress.
Roles in TV series
Actually Maiara made her debut TV series appearance in 2005, when she portrayed Girl Cousin in the episode “The Bar Mitzvah” of the comedy series “Unfabulous”, which was created by Sue Rose and starred Emma Roberts, Melise and Jordan Calloway. The series is about Addie Singer, who is a teenager interested in music and writing songs – it was nominated for 19 awards without winning any.
In 2007, Maiara competed on the Blue Team in the “Disney Channel Games”, and then in 2009 she was invited to portray the supporting character Ana Solis in the soap opera comedy mystery series “Desperate Housewives”, which starred Teri Hatcher and Felicity Huffman; it was a huge hit in the US and Europe as well, as it won 65 awards including three Golden Globes while it was nominated for 185 others.

Her main hobby is singing, and she occasionally performs at clubs with her friends, but hasn’t launched a career as a musician. Maiara likes to play sports such as tennis and volleyball, and she has three to four training sessions at the gym each week, thus her fit body.
