She said, ‘He put a jewelry box inside of a really big box, and I assumed he’d gotten me the earrings I’d asked for. I opened the box and saw my ring, and was so genuinely shocked, even after all that time.’ Bre and Luke exchanged wedding vows on 17 August 2013 in Aspen, Colorado.

Basketball Career

He was a basketball player all through college, and after he graduated was the second pick during the second round of the 2003 NBA Draft, selected by the Los Angeles Lakers. He was able to prove his worth, and so when he renewed his contract with the Lakers in 2007, he was able to ink a $30 million, six-year contract. During his nine years as a Laker, they played for three straight years in the NBA Finals. His team lost the first one in 2008 but won back-to-back championships in 2009 and ‘10.

In 2012, he was traded to the Cleveland Cavaliers, and he ended his basketball career there.

Coaching Career

Luke started his coaching career during the NBA lockout in 2011, wherein games were stopped until a deal was worked out between owners and players, so he worked as the University of Memphis assistant coach.

After the 161-day lockout ended, he went back to playing in the NBA. After his retirement from playing professional basketball, he continued with his coaching career, but this time he was hired for the 2013-2014 season as a player development coach by the Los Angeles D-Fenders, an NBA Development League team.

After one season, the Golden State Warriors hired Luke as the team’s assistant coach from 2014 to 2016. During his stay with the team, he was able to add another championship onto his resume, as the Warriors won the 2015 NBA Finals against the Cleveland Cavaliers. Luke was also given an amazing opportunity to be the team’s interim coach, as head coach Steve Kerr had a serious back problem, and couldn’t perform his duty.

His coaching performance was recognized with NBA Western Conference Coach of the Month titles for October and December. Steve Kerr came back in January 2016 and led the team to reach the finals, but this time lost to Cleveland Cavaliers, but still broke an NBA record by finishing the regular season with 73 wins and 9 losses. While Luke was able to coach the Warriors four games more than Steve (43-39), due to NBA rules and voting results, the “Coach of the Year” award was given to Steve Kerr with Luke ranked 9th in the voting list.

However, there was the controversial Magic Johnson’s resignation as the team’s President indicating reasons such as wanting to terminate Luke, but couldn’t do so for fear of conflict with the team owners. Eventually, he was let go by the Lakers management. Immediately after he mutually parted ways with the Lakers, he was hired by another NBA team – Luke is currently the Head Coach of the Sacramento Kings with Vlade Divac, a former Lakers teammate, serving as the team’s General Manager.

Everything About Tracy Morgan’s Wife – Megan Wollover

Who is Megan Wollover?

Megan Wollover was born on 7 November 1987, in New Jersey, USA, and is an actress as well as a model, but perhaps best known for being the wife of actor Tracy Morgan. Her husband rose to fame as a cast member of “Saturday Night Live”, before further establishing himself through the series “30 Rock” for which he won an Emmy Award.

The Net Worth of Megan Wollover

As of early-2020, Megan Wollover’s net worth is estimated to be over $1 million, earned through success in her various endeavors. While she doesn’t work as much as she used to, she probably also benefits from the wealth accrued by her husband, as Morgan has a net worth estimated to be over $50 million, thanks to a successful career in comedy.

Early Life, Education, and Relationship Beginnings

Megan grew up in New Jersey and remained there for most of her life. After matriculating from high school, she enrolled at Crimini College, and around this time developed an interest in modeling. Shortly after graduating, started to work as a model, appearing in several projects.

She was intent on finding a long term partner romance-wise but had a lot of relationship problems. She shared with a friend who turned out to be friendly with Morgan, who at the time had just had a falling out from a previous relationship, and was looking for a partner.

The two were introduced to each other through a blind date; she was surprised that she was on a date with a well-known comedian, but was impressed by his engaging conversation and genuine demeanor. Apparently he thought that she was very beautiful, and started to fall in love.

The Life of Tracy Morgan

Tracy had a troubled childhood. He was the son of a veteran from the Vietnam War who returned home as a heroin addict, a vice that would cause him to leave the family when Tracy was just six years old.

During high school, Tracy became romantically involved with a woman named Sabrina and they had a child together, however, learning that his father had contracted AIDS from a hypodermic needle, he dropped out of high school to care for him father. Struggling with no stable job while raising a son, he resorted to selling cocaine, but this endeavor was also unsuccessful.

Eventually, he noticed that he was gaining a lot of attention for his comedy work, and embarked on a stand-up career. After attracting a bit of attention locally, he turned his direction towards Hollywood, where he gained a few roles on television while working as a comedian.

In 1996, he became a cast member of “Saturday Night Live”, and worked with the prestigious show until 2003, establishing himself as one of its top cast members. Three years after leaving the show, he became a cast member of the series “30 Rock” as the character Tracy Jordan, and his performance was well-received, leading to his Emmy win.

Engagement and Accident

After a few years of dating, Wollover and Morgan became engaged – the couple went to a jewelry store to have a few of Morgan’s jewels fixed, and it was then that he made a surprising proposal.

At the time he was estranged from his family, having a falling out with them after the divorce settlement from his first wife. They planned their wedding for a long time, delayed due to work. And meantime they had a daughter, born in 2013. The couple set their marriage for 2014 but another tragic event occurred. While Morgan was traveling with friends and fellow comedians on a tour, his minibus was hit by a Walmart tractor-trailer, and involving a chain reaction that hit four other vehicles in the area.

He suffered a broken nose, broken leg, and several broken limbs, while one of his friends, comedian James McNair, passed away.

Following surgery Morgan struggled during rehabilitation. as he could only take a few steps at the time, and the crash had injured his brain which prevented him from thinking and speaking properly, so continuing with therapy.

Recovery and Marriage

Tracy sued Walmart for negligence, as the company knew that the driver who initiated the crash had not slept for over 24 hours – Walmart had assigned him to a distant distribution center, and he fell asleep on the wheel. The driver was charged with vehicular homicide and Walmart settled the lawsuit for an undisclosed amount.

The driver was later given a plea deal so didn’t serve jail time. Morgan returned to the public a year after the accident, nearly fully recovered. He still has bad days but he’s regained nearly all of his physical and mental faculties. He had also forgiven the driver for the accident.

Finally, after many delays, the couple married in Megan’s home state of New Jersey in August 2015, with around 150 guests in attendance, and Morgan’s son from his previous marriage serving as the best man. The theme of the wedding was timeless, elegant, and classy.

They had hit songs from the couple’s past, with a pink and vanilla color theme. The event was described as spontaneous and real by the attendees.

Wollover Today

Following their marriage, Wollover has taken a step away from her public life to focus on her husband and their family. She previously accompanied him to many events, even appearing on television, though that has no longer been the case in recent years. Her husband continues to work, starring in “The Last OG” in which his wife also made a cameo appearance. He also recently hosted the ESPYs.
