Alex Saxon was born in Liberty, Missouri USA, on 10 September 1987 – his zodiac sign is Virgo and he holds American nationality. He is an actor, perhaps best known for his portrayal of Ace in the fantasy mystery series “Nancy Drew”, created by Noga Landau, Stephanie Savage and Josh Schwartz, and which has been airing since 2019. The series also stars Kennedy McMann, Leah Lewis, Maddison Jaizani and Eden Summer Gilmore, who was nominated for a Young Artist Award for Best Performance Recurring Teen Artist – TV series. and a Young Entertainer Award for Best Guest Starring Young Actress – Television Series. Early life and education
Alex was raised in Liberty as an only child, by his parents who were both theatre actors, and who often took him to watch them perform at a local theatre. Alex joined his elementary school’s drama club shortly upon enrollment, and at the age of eight also made his debut stage appearance at a local theatre. From then on he practiced acting on a daily basis, while he was also practicing dance. Attending a local high school, Alex became physically active by also playing a variety of sports, as he wanted to stay in shape mostly because of his budding acting career. After matriculating in 2005, he enrolled at William Jewell College from which he graduated magna cum laude majoring in both Applied Critical Thought and Inquiry, and Psychology while his minor was in Chemistry.
Just a month after graduation, Alex moved to Los Angeles in California.
Roles in movies
Alex worked several jobs to financially support himself, before he made his debut film appearance in 2012, portraying Ace #2 in the comedy “The Olivia Experiment”, which starred Skye Noel, Jen Lilley and Brett Maumayr, and which is about a 27 year-old girl who decides to have sex with her boyfriend for the first time – the film failed to attract much attention.
The following year saw him appear as Young Paul Holt in the drama movie “Chapman”, written and directed by Justin Owensby and which starred Jesse Johnson and Christopher Masterson, and follows the life of the locksmith Alex Fletcher.
Alex’s next role was in the drama film “The Advocates”, about a female lawyer who teams up with an ex-convict to help victims of crimes. In 2014, he played Brandon in the horror thriller movie “Compound Fracture” directed by Anthony J. Rickert-Epstein, which starred Tyler Mane and Muse Watson, and which follows Michael who is coming home a because his sister Chloe died, after years of being away. The following year saw him appear as Max in the short horror film “Scream: Killer Party”, which starred Sterling Brim and Chanel West Coast who are today best known for being the hosts of the comedy show “The Ridiculousness”.
Alex’s latest film role has been in 2017, when he portrayed the lead character Jason in the romantic crime movie “Coin Heist”, both written and directed by Emily Hagins, and which also starred Alexis G. Zall and Sasha Pieterse. The movie follows four teenagers who are trying to steal from the USA Mint and it has a 4.8/10 score on the movies and TV series rating website IMDb.com.
Alex’s roles in TV series
Alex made his debut TV series appearance in 2011, when he portrayed the Vampire Guy in the episode “I Am Jenna Hamilton” of the romantic comedy series “Awkward”, which starred Ashley Rickards and Beau Mirchoff, and is about a 15 year-old girl who becomes popular at her high school, after her peers start to believe that she tried to commit suicide.
The series won two awards and was nominated for eight others.
In 2014 Alex was a guest on the talk show “Wolf Watch”, and was in 2015 invited to portray Gabriel Osbourne in the episode “Byzantium” of the critically acclaimed crime mystery series “The Mentalist”, created by Bruno Heller, which starred Simon Baker, Robin Tunney and Tim Kang. The series is about a man who was pretending to be a psychic before his wife was murdered, and who is now working with the police to find her killer – the series won four awards and was nominated for 15 others, including a Golden Globe for Simon for Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Series – Drama.
Alex appeared as Chloe in two episodes of the crime series “Ray Donovan”, which was a big success as it won four awards including a Golden Globe and was nominated for 42 other awards.
Alex was then cast in his first leading role in series in 2015, when he played Max in all 36 episodes of the drama series “Finding Carter”, which also starred Kathryn Prescott and Cynthia Watros, and is about a teenager who learns she was kidnapped as a child, and is now searching for her biological parents. In 2016, Alex guest starred as Joey Richards in the episode “Recon by Fire” of the action series “Shooter”.
His concurrent notable performance was in the romantic series “The Fosters”, in which he portrayed Wyatt in 28 episodes between 2013 and 2018 – the series also starred Teri Polo and Sherri Saum, and won seven awards while it was nominated for 32 others.
One of his latest roles in a TV series has been in the crime mystery “The Fix”, in which he portrayed the supporting character Gabriel Johnson in 10 episodes in 2019.

Alex has been dating Hannah Marks, an American actress, film director and producer, for several years now. They haven’t talked about how they met, but it’s widely believed that it was in 2015 on the set of a movie they were both cast to appear in, and they have since attended most of their red carpet events together.

She became popular the moment she was born as she is the daughter of Nova Ball, a retired actress. Hannah is today perhaps best known for her roles in the science fiction action adventure film “The Amazing Spider-Man” in 2012, the action adventure comedy series “Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency” in which she starred as Amanda Brotzman in 2017, and the horror thriller movie “Daniel Isn’t Real” released in 2019.
Alex and Hannah have reportedly been living together since mid-2019.
Hobbies and other interests
Alex enjoys spending his free time outdoors, and is against the use of social media networks which is why he isn’t active on any. He plays multiple sports with his friends, including soccer and baseball, while he also has four to five training sessions at the gym every week, thus his muscular body.
He likes to travel, and has been all around the US to shoot for his movies and TV series, while he’s visited many European countries including England and France. He is a lover of animals and has a pet dog.
In his spare time Alex likes to watch TV series – two of his favorites are “Prison Break” and “Chernobyl”, while he is also keen on watching full-length movies, and his favorite actor and actress are Johnny Depp and Natalie Portman.
