Who is Sami Gayle?
American actress Sami Gayle was born in Weston, Florida USA, on 22 January 1996, making Aquarius her zodiac sign. She’s so far appeared in only 10 movies and TV series, and has since 2010 been starring as Nicky Reagan Boyle in the crime mystery series “Blue Bloods”, which also stars Bridget Moynahan, Will Estes and Donnie Wahlberg, and was created by Robin Green and Mitchell Burgess. It follows the members of a family from New York City, nearly all of whom are police officers, and the series has won four of its 21 award nominations.
Education and early life
Sami and her brother Chad were raised in Weston by their father Larry Klitzman who’s a lawyer, and mother Robin who’s today Sami’s agent, and previously owned her own business.
Sami was 13 when she made her debut TV series appearance, playing Hayden Lawson in three episodes (2009-2010) of the soap opera “As the World Turns”, which aired over 10,000 episodes from 1956 through 2010. It follows the lives of members of two wealthy families, and the romantic drama won 90 of the 546 awards for which it was nominated.
Sami was homeschooled because of her acting career, and followed the program Advanced Placement; she excelled in Public Forum Debate and nearly got to compete at the Tournament of Champions.
She completed her GED tests successfully in 2014, and then enrolled at Columbia University, from which she graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in 2018.
Roles in TV series
Besides in “As the World Turns” and “Blue Bloods”, Sami’s appeared in only one TV series: she played Natalie in the 2011 episode “A History of Violins” of the comedy “Royal Pains”, which starred Paulo Constanzo and Mark Feuerstein, and was created by John P. Rogers and Andrew Lenchewski. It follows a diagnostic surgeon who’s begun working for the wealthy together with his brother; the series aired from 2009 through 2016 and won two of its four award nominations.
Roles in movies
Sami’s debut film role was playing Erica in the critically acclaimed 2011 drama “Detachment”, which starred Christina Hendricks and Adrien Brody, and was directed by Tony Kaye. It follows the life of a substitute teacher, and the movie won eight of its 12 award nominations.
The following year saw Sami play Alison Loeb in the crime action thriller “Stolen”, directed by Simon West, and which starred Nicolas Cage, Malin Akerman and Josh Lucas. It follows a former thief as he’s searching for his kidnapped daughter. Also in 2013, Sami appeared in both the science fiction “The Congress”, and the romantic drama “Hateship Loveship”.
In 2014, she portrayed Mia in the action comedy “Vampire Academy”, which starred Lucy Fry and Zoey Deutch, and was directed by Mark Waters. It follows Dhampir Rose Hathaway, a half-human half-vampire who’s protecting mortal vampires, the Moroi from the bloodthirsty immortal vampires Strigoi; the film was nominated for two awards.
Also in 2014, Sami played Refugee Daughter in the popular action adventure “Noah”, which starred Jennifer Connelly, Anthony Hopkins and Russell Crowe, and was written and directed by Darren Aronofsky. It follows Noah who’s been chosen by God to rescue a group of people and animals before an apocalyptic flood takes place, and the movie won one of its 20 award nominations.
Sami’s only other film role has been starring as Lona in the 2018 comedy “Candy Jar”, which also starred Jacob Latimore and Tom Bergeron, and was directed by Ben Shelton; it follows a group of high school debate champions who are dreaming of enrolling at prestigious colleges.

Sami sang the song “I Don’t Need Anything But You” in the 2012 episode “The Life We Choose” of the series “Blue Bloods”.
