Abraham Rubin Hercules Benrubi was born in Indianapolis, Indiana USA, on 4 October 1969 – his zodiac sign is Libra and he holds American nationality. He is a character actor, perhaps best known for his portrayal of Jerry Markovic in the romantic series “ER”, which aired from 1994 to 2009 and starred Anthony Edwards, George Clooney and Julianna Margulies. Some rumors claim that Abraham has retired from acting and has been keeping away from the media’s attention, however, he is still shooting scenes and recording for multiple series, such as the animated adventure comedy “It’s Pony”, and another animated comedy “Robot Chicken”.
Childhood and education
Abraham was raised an only child in Indianapolis by his father Asher Benrubi who was a rock singer, and is today working on St. Louis radio as ‘Smash’, and his mother Patricia who was a housewife – Abraham’s paternal grandparents were both Greek Jews – his grandmother helped hide Jews during the Second World War.
Abraham became interested in acting while attending Broad Ripple High School, and appeared in many school plays during his four years there He was also physically active, and enjoyed playing both football and soccer for fun. After matriculation in 1987, Abraham didn’t enroll at a college but pursue his dream of becoming a famous actor.
Roles in TV series
Abraham has appeared in roughly 110 movies and TV series, and in this article, we will cover some of his most notable performances.
He made his debut TV series appearance in 1990, when he portrayed Really Big Kid in the episode “Mike, the Teacher” of the sitcom “Growing Pains”, followed by a guest role in the sitcom “Wings”.
Abraham gained recognition in the same year as he started playing the lead character Larry Kubiac in the teen sitcom “Parker Lewis Can’t Lose”, and remained a member of the main cast until 1993 when the series ended. In 1998, he began appearing as the lead character Vincent Konefke in the science fiction series “Sleepwalkers”, which follows several researchers who find a way to enter the dreams of psychiatric patients. Abraham then went on to appear in single episodes of many series, such as the critically acclaimed science fiction drama “The X-Files” in 1999, the drama “Dark Angel” and the dramedy series “Going To California” in 2002.

Abraham made his debut movie appearance in 1990, when he portrayed Rick in “Diving In”, while some of his following roles were in the drama “Crossing the Bridge” in 1992, another drama “The Program” in 1993, and the western adventure comedy “Wagons East” in 1994.
He appeared in his first short movie in 1997 entitled “Talking Dessert”, and in the same year Abraham played Thor in the comedy movie “George of the Jungle”. The year 1998 saw him as Bouncer in the critically acclaimed movie “I Woke Up Early the Day I Died”, which starred Billy Zane, Tippi Hedren and Ron Perlman, and he made his debut film voicing performance in the same year, as he lent his voice to Serge in the animated comedy “The Rugrats Movie”. In 2012, Abraham starred as Michael Spencer in the independent dramatic thriller movie “Deep Dark Canyon”, and in 2013 he appeared as Jimbo in the post-apocalyptic action comedy movie “Bounty Killer”. In 2015, Abraham was heard as Diablo in the crossover multi-player online battle arena game “Heroes of the Storm”, while three of his most recent works in video games have been in “StarCraft II: Legacy of the Void” in 2015, “World of Warcraft: Legion” in 2016, and “World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth” in 2018.
So far from being retired and finished as an actor, Abraham is still very much in demand as both a valued support actor, and in continuing his voice-acting for a variety of animated films and video game projects.
Love life and relationships
Abraham is very secretive regarding his love life, and thus hasn’t talked about any girls he might have dated since the launch of his acting career.
However, it is known that he was in a relationship with a girl named Nicole while shooting for the series “ER”; while giving an interview, Abraham was asked about what his girlfriend thinks about him kissing actresses on the set of “ER”, to which he responded that she actually likes it, and usually comes to watch them kissing on the set so that she could tease them.
While some believe Abraham and Nicole might still be together, it is known that the famous actor has married his other half jrelatively recentl,y on 29 September 2019, in a private ceremony in Castellina in Chianti, Italy and Abraham has uploaded many pictures of them together onto his Instagram account.
According to some of his fans’ claims, the woman is Italian, and the two have known each other for two years, but her name remains elusive.
Hobbies and other interests
Abraham likes to read books in his spare time, and is mostly interested in reading historical and philosophical books.
He is a lover of animals, and has recently bought a pet French bulldog called Coco, which can be seen featured in many of the pictures Abraham has uploaded onto his Instagram account.
Although Abraham is not following a strict diet, he prefers to eat fruits and vegetables over all other foods, but can’t help but eat meat from time to time.
He likes to travel and has been to several US states as well as many European countries, while perhaps unsurprisingly his favorite is Italy.
Abraham’s favorite actor and actress are Johnny Depp and Anne Hathaway, and some of his favorite movies are the franchise “Pirates of the Caribbean”, “Les Miserables” and “One Day”.
