While she earns a bit of money from her business endeavors, she likely benefits from the wealth of his father too, who has a net worth estimated to be over $200 million. She has apparently been enjoying a luxurious lifestyle since she was a child.

Life and Career

Marielle is the second daughter of Mohamed Hadid from his first marriage to Mary Butler. For most of her life, she grew away from the spotlight. She developed a strong interest in fashion design, and worked in the field for some time though never made a big name for herself.

Her fame began increasing significantly after her half-sisters Gigi and Bella Hadid started to gain attention thanks to their modeling endeavors. The sisters who have both been named as Model of the Year attracted the media constantly, and it was only a matter of time before the media found out that they had other sisters. This came as no surprise to Marielle who had already been used to the attention around her father. She was also close to the rest of her siblings, with her children even spending a lot of time with Gigi Hadid. Capitalizing on the fame, she decided to start a business called Hadid Eyewear, an eyewear brand designed with the contemporary style in mind.

Father – Mohamed Hadid

Mohamed is a Palestinian who originally came from Nazareth. After studying in Jerusalem and Syria, he moved to the US where he worked for “Voice of America” as well as the US Information Agency, mainly as a translator, writer and editor. He continued his education in the US, completing a degree at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). He had a natural talent and affinity for business, beginning his endeavors with an exporting business before creating an automobile restoration business based in Washington, DC. Later on he moved to Greece and opened a nightclub, earning the significant income he used to fund real estate in the US.

While issues surrounded him due to ties with the SAAR Foundation and it’s contacts in Saudi Arabia, he continued developing successful hotels such as The Ritz-Carlton. At the time, he was one of the biggest investors in the real estate industry, which brought him much wealth, especially when he began developing luxury houses in Bel Air, Los Angeles.

Personal Life

Marielle is single, and makes no mention of the father(s) of her two children. There have been no reports of any romantic relationships her way, but she prefers to keep away from the media when it comes to this aspect of her life, though she doesn’t shy away from big events.

Much like her sisters, she is very passionate about fashion, though her recent endeavors have her focused more on design rather than modeling like her sisters.

Sister – Gigi Hadid

After matriculating from Malibu High School, Gigi decided to focus on her dream of a modeling career, going to New York to pursue it. At one point, she was a bit undecided, as she only had a few modeling projects. She enrolled at The New School, but later suspended her studies so she could focus on her work as a model. She got her breakthrough in 2013 when she was offered a contract by IMG Models, leading to her appearance at the New York Fashion Week.

More projects ensued, and she worked alongside Tom Ford in various fashion campaigns.

In 2015, more projects came her way, and she was featured in numerous high profile brands such as Chanel, Michael Kors, and Marc Jacob. Gigi was also featured in publications around the world, such as “Vogue”, “Elle”, “Grazia”, “Vanity Fair” and more. The advertising campaigns continued for the next two years and she was named the International Model of the Year at the British Fashion Awards in 2016. She also collaborated frequently with her sister Bella, and in recent years with Unicef and Reebok. She has also participated in the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show three times.

Sister – Bella Hadid

Bella was initially set for a career in photography, enrolling at the Parsons School of Design even though she had already signed to IMG Models. She decided to drop out of school once her modeling career was starting to take flight, and made her New York Fashion Week debut shortly after her sister, and began working with high profile brands as well, including Tommy Hilfiger, Marc Jacobs, and Topshop. She was also featured in publications such as “Harper’s Bazaar”, “GQ”, and “Glamour Magazine”. In 2016, she was named Model of the Year by Model.com.

At the time, Bella had established herself as one of the most in-demand models, similar to her sister. She’s become the ambassador for Dior Makeup and consistently worked with luxury brands. She also began collaborating with her sister on campaigns, and even their younger brother Anwar who had begun a career as a model. A few months later, she became the ambassador for Dior Beauty, responsible for collaborative make-up videos with the company. She is also the ambassador for Bulgari accessory lines, and is the face of the brand TAG Heuer, as well as appearing in commercials for Penshoppe, NARS Cosmetics, and Ochirly.
