Caterina Murino is an Italian actress and model, who is perhaps still best known for her role in the 2006 film “Casino Royale.” In 2008, she received a European Golden Globe at the Italian Golden Globe Awards.

In 1996, she finished fourth in the Miss Italy contest, then Caterina relocated to Milan, where she started working as a model in commercials for Swatch, Nescafe, MasterCard and Mercedes Benz, among other companies.
Murino then moved on to London, where she fell in love with acting and theater; she would survive on yogurt to save up weekly to see something in West End theaters. Caterina decided to move back to Italy, and between 1999 and 2000 she studied drama at the Scuola di Cinema e Teatro in the institution run by Francesca De Sapio.
Caterina made her acting debut in 1999, an appearance in a “Richard III” stage production. She was also a part of numerous Italian language plays. In 2002, Murino started her television and film career, playing bit parts in French, Italian and German productions.
Her breakthrough came in 2004 when she co-starred in “L’enquete Corse,” a French comedy alongside Jean Reno – to appear in this film, Caterina had to learn enough French in just four months, so she is now trilingual, speaking fluent Italian, French and English.
In 2006, Caterina appeared in the James Bond film “Casino Royale” as Solange Dimitrios, alongside the Daniel Craig, which gathered her immense popularity. In 2008, she received a European Golden Globe award at the Italian Golden Globe Awards.
In early 2011, Caterina co-starred in the BBC One short-lived television series “Zen”, with Rufus Sewell. The same year, she also appeared in two video clips, including The Gypsy Queens’ l’ Italiano party band and the Bob Sinclar’s music video “Far l’amore.”
Two years later, Murino starred in the television production “Odysseus” as Penelope, Ulysses’ wife. In 2016, Caterina appeared in the suspense Bollywood thriller movie “Fever.” Other movies she has starred in include “The Squad,” “The Invincible Piglet,” “We Are Family,” and “Voice from the Stone” in 2017.

Caterina has been in five relationships – her first boyfriend was Giuseppe Pancaro, and the couple began their relationship in 1999, but they broke up in 2001. Giuseppe is a former Italian football defender. He later turned to a coach, and is now the manager of Pistoiese.

In the same year Caterina then met and apparently fell in love with Austin Fuentes, an American billionaire heir and philanthropist, however, their relationship was also short-lived as they broke up that same year.
Between December 2007 and January 2008, Caterina dated Bryan Adams, a Canadian musician. When his girlfriend, Elle Macpherson, saw the couple on a date in Paris, she broke up with the rock musician.
Caterina took another break, but in 2009 began dating Pierre Rabadan, a French international rugby union player who plays for Stade Francais.
