Cindy Marie Sampson was born on 27 May 1978, in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, and is an actress, best known for her work during the early seasons of the television series “Supernatural” as the character, Lisa Braedon, a love interest of Dean Winchester played by Jensen Ackles. Other projects she’s worked on include “Love Once, Die Twice”, and “Private Eyes”.

Early Life, Education, and Career Beginnings
Cindy grew up in Canada, and as a child aspired to a career in acting. She pursued this during her youth, and after matriculating from high school, enrolled at the Randolph Academy for the Performing Arts, where she took up courses in theatre and dance. Located in Toronto, the private college is known for its focus on the performing arts, and has been in operation since 1992.
After completing her studies, she began her pursuit of film and television roles, and made her debut in 1999, appearing in small roles in the series “Lexx”.
She followed with a string of television movies in minor roles, and work in the independent circuit, appearing numerous short films, including “Slug”, “Pretty Dead Flowers”, and “New Jersey Turnpikes”. During the same year, she made her feature film debut in “The Last Kiss”, working alongside Zach Braff and Casey Affleck. Her fame took off the following year, when she began appearing as the recurring character Lisa Braeden in the show “Supernatural”, who was at that point in the series, becoming a potential long term romantic partner of one of the lead characters.

At the same time, she also took a recurring role during the first two seasons of “The Art of More”, which aired on Crackle, and is about the high stakes world of auction houses in New York.
In recent years, Cindy’s been known for her work in the show “Private Eyes”, playing the character, Angie Everett.
The show is based on the GB Joyce novel of the same name, following two private investigators who solve crimes in Toronto. The show has been running for three seasons, with the fourth season in production. Concurrently she’s appeared as a guest in other programs, such as “Hudson & Rex” and “Imposters”. She’s also had roles in television movies such as “My Secret Valentine” and “A Christmas Crush”. She also enjoys employing different hairstyles, often wearing various types of colors in her hair depending on her mood. In recent months, she’s been concerned about her hometown in Nova Scotia, as it deals with an outbreak of the coronavirus, with a sudden rise in cases and deaths there. She also supports various charities, including the crisis relief program, Operation Ramzieh, which aims to donate food to people in need in Canada.
