Who is Claudia Jessie?
British actress Claudia Jessie was born in Moseley, Birmingham, England, on 30 October 1989, making Scorpio her zodiac sign. She’s had roles in 26 movies and TV series, and is perhaps known best for playing Eloise Bridgerton in the critically acclaimed historical romantic series “Bridgerton”, created by Chris Van Dusen, and which stars Nicola Coughlan, Luke Thompson and Jonathan Bailey. It follows members of the wealthy British Bridgerton family, the series has been airing since 2020, and has won 15 of its 88 award nominations.
Education and early life
Claudia and her brother were raised on a canal boat in Moseley, by their parents about whom Claudia rarely speaks in public; it’s only known that they struggled financially, and that her father eventually left the family.
She attended a local elementary school and was interested in dancing and singing during her four years there, while she was 13 when she appeared in her first school play. Claudia was 14 when her mother began homeschooling her, and 17 when she moved into Birmingham and enrolled at high school there; she matriculated in 2009 and then enrolled at Susi Earnshaw Theatre School, while she also honed her acting skills at the Birmingham Library Theatre Company.

Claudia’s debut film role was playing Rosie in the eponymous 2012 short historical drama, and her following role came two years later, when cast to star as Beth in the short comedy “Copy That”.
Her only other film role has been playing both Doris Cleavely and Lily in the popular 2016 romantic comedy “Their Finest”, directed by Lone Scherfig, and which starred Gemma Arterton, Sam Claflin and Bill Nighy. It follows the life of a woman who’s transitioned from being a secretary to a scriptwriter, and the movie won one of its eight award nominations.

Claudia’s debut TV series role was playing Sophia Danae in two episodes of the popular 2013 family adventure “House of Anubis”, created by Hans Bourlon and Gert Verhulst, and which starred Brad Kavanagh, Jade Ramsey and Tasie Lawrence. It follows a group of boarding school students as they’re investigating the disappearance of their friend.
The year 2013 saw Claudia appear in an episode of the dramas “Casualty” and “The Paradise”, and in 2013 and 2014, she played both Poppy Conroy and Kate Marshall in 13 episodes of the drama “Doctors”, which stars Adrian Lewis Morgan, Jan Pearson and Matthew Chambers, and follows the lives of people working at a medical practice in Birmingham; the series has been airing since 2000, and has won 17 of its 111 award nominations.
In 2015, Claudia appeared in several episodes of the romantic crime drama “WPC 56”, the war fantasy “Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell”, and the comedy “Bull”. From 2014 through 2016, she played the lead character Shari in the family comedy “Dixi”, created by Dan Berlinka, and which also starred April Hughes and Jordan Loughran. It follows The League of Ordinary Heroes as they’re using the social media network Dixi to find out who’s causing trouble at their high school; the series won two awards, including a BAFTA Children’s Award for Best Interactive – Original.
Some of Claudia’s TV series appearances in 2017 were in an episode of the comedy “Carters Get Rich”, the crime mystery “Father Brown”, and the comedy “Detectorists”.
From 2017 through 2019, she played Lucy in the comedy “Porters”, starring alongside Susan Wokoma and Edward Easton; the series follows the lives of hospital porter Simon Porter and his porter mentors Tillman and Frankie.
Claudia’s since appeared in only two TV series (besides “Bridgerton”): she played Nessa in five episodes of the 2019 comedy “Defending the Guilty” and Polly Miller in all four episodes of the 2022 historical thriller mini-series “Bali 2002”.

There are also those who believe that Claudia’s today in a relationship with a fellow actress, as some of her fans have started to believe that she’s lesbian, but this hasn’t been confirmed either.
Claudia might be in a long-term relationship as of April 2023, hasn’t married and doesn’t have children.

Claudia struggled with depersonalization disorder, anxiety and panic attacks during her teenage years, and was 17 when she was introduced to Nichiren Buddhism by her aunt, as a way to cope with her mental issues; she’s today vegan, and meditates on a daily basis.
Claudia’s quite active on her Instagram account ‘Joy’, and has uploaded nearly 200 pictures and videos onto the social media network, while close to 250,000 people are following her today; most of her content shows her spending time with her friends and colleagues.
