Early life and Education
Jennie Jacques was born on 28 February 1989, in Coventry, England, which makes Pisces her zodiac sign. Her family moved a lot when she was younger, so she grew up in several towns, most notably Leamington Spa and Warwick, England.
She has four brothers and two sisters – one sister was diagnosed with epilepsy at a very young age, so the family struggled a lot to fund her brain surgeries and therapies. Most of her private information is kept away from the general public, so nothing else is known about her parent’s names, or her educational background.
Career
Jacques made her acting debut in 2009, when she had the guest role of Katie Fielding in ITV series “The Bill”.
That same year she had a recurring role in the BBC drama miniseries “Desperate Romantics”, that showed the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood, and in which she appeared next to Samuel Barnett. In 2010 she portrayed Emily Mullins in an episode from the third season of the TV series “Lark Rise to Candleford”, and landed her first feature film role in “Shank”, in which she portrayed Ree Ree, then played Beth in the horror movie “Cherry Tree Lane”.
Jacques appeared in the music video for the Boadicea’s song of the same name from 2011. That same year she was in the movie “Demons Never Die”, in which she had a nude sex scene with actor Robert Sheehan, then portrayed Carol in the fantasy thriller “7 Lives”.
In 2012, Jacques briefly appeared in the TV series “Love Life” in which she portrayed Tilly in two episodes from the first season. Later that year, she acted in the horror mystery film “Truth or Dare”, also known as “Truth or Die” outside of the UK.
In 2013, she landed the starring role of WPC Gina Dawson in the BBC series about a policewoman operating in a male-dominated world of the 1950s, “WPC 56”, remaining in the show until the end of the second season.
Jacques had her breakthrough role in 2015, when she replaced Sarah Green as Judith in the History Channel’s series “Vikings”, directed by Michael Hirst. She kept the role of the Princess of Wessex and Northumbria for three seasons, and also had a role in the “Vikings” spin-off series, “Athelstan’s Journal”.
That same year, she portrayed the recurring role of Tash in the ITV sitcom “The Delivery Man”, but gave-up the role so she could dedicate her time to filming “Vikings”.
In 2019, she portrayed Amber Saunders in the drama series “London Kills”, in which she appeared next to Hugo Speer and Bailey Patrick, and made a brief appearance in the romantic TV series “Four Weddings and a Funeral”.
Jacques has recently been announced to appear in the unaired TV series, “The No Hopers”.
Personal Life
Jacques is a rather private person, so there isn’t much information disclosed about her private life. She was in a relationship with actor and producer Evan Todd, but the exact date their unity started and ended is not known.
Todd is famous for his work on “Sydney White”, “Fourth Man Out” and “Blindspot”.
As of April 2020, it isn’t disclosed whether or not she is dating someone. She hasn’t been seen at public events with anyone after her breakup with Todd, and she isn’t romantically linked with anybody. She is often promoting various charities and organizations that are trying to help people battling epilepsy, and is a common guest at various charity events and fundraising challenges that support this cause. Jacques started doing this because of her sister’s diagnose.

One of these foundations she supports is Young Epilepsy, located in Lingfield, UK – some of the other celebrity ambassadors of the organization are Nicholas Owen, Leon Legge and Kerry Howard.
She also supports the Epilepsy Society. When asked about her experience with this condition, she stated: ‘I have seen how epilepsy affects another person’s life and someone I love.’She is active on most social media platforms, such as Facebook, where she runs her own page, Twitter and Instagram.
In the TV series “Vikings”, Jacques is actually only 10 years older then Ferdia Walsh-Peelo, her on-screen son.
