Nicollette Sheridan was born in Worthing, Sussex, England, on 21 November 1963, so her zodiac sign is Scorpio and she holds British nationality. She is an actress, producer, writer, and a former fashion model, probably best known for portraying Paige Matheson in the CBS primetime soap opera “Knots Landing”.
Early life and education
Nicollette was raised in Worthing by her mother Sally Adams who is an actress, while her father left home when Nicollette was a year old, and she hasn’t seen him since then. In 1969 when she was six, her mother appeared in the James Bond movie “On Her Majesty’s Secret Service”, and there met Telly Savalas, a famous actor, who fell in love with her and the three started living together, withs Telly reputedly taking good care of both Nicollette and Sally.

Nicollette attended an elementary school in Worthing, but before finishing she moved with her mother and stepfather to the US in 1973. She enrolled at a high school there, and became a member of the school’s drama club appearing in all its plays, and while attending 11th grade, she launched her modelling career. Upon matriculation, Nicollette did not enroll at a college, but rather pursued her modelling and acting career.

Nicollette made her debut film appearance in “The Sure Thing” in 1985, and four years later appeared in the short film entitled “Dirty Tennis”. She played Brooke Ashton in “Noises Off” in 1992 and Veronique Ukrinsky in “Spy Hard” in 1996, before being cast in the lead role in “Beverly Hills Ninja” in 1997. In 1998, she made a cameo appearance in “I Woke Up Early The Day I Died”.
She appeared in the film “Raw Nerve” in 2000, and then went on to appear in three direct-to-video films, entitled “.com for Murder” and “Tarzan & Jane” in 2002, and in “Lost Treasure” in 2003. Nicollette was then invited to appear in “Code Name: The Cleaner” in 2007, while two of her latest appearances in films have been in “Jewtopia” in 2012 and “Let’s Kill Ward’s Wife” in 2014. She launched her own all natural anti-aging moisturizer called Biolumiere Organics, which is originally made in the USA and is toxic, BPA, and cruelty free.

She made her debut TV series appearance in 1984 in “Paper Dolls”, played the regular role of Taryn Blake in the series follows the life of a family of models.
Nicollette went on to appear in a single episode of “Scene of Crime” in 1985, and in 1986 she began portraying Paige Matheson in “Knots Landing”, which is the role that made her famous worldwide. It stars Michele Lee and Ted Shackelford, and follows a story of the people living in Knots Landing, Los Angeles who have to deal with many problems such as people lying, stealing, raping, and murdering . For her performance, Nicollette was rewarded with a Soap Opera Digest Award for an Outstanding Lead Actress: Prime Time in 1990, and a Soap Opera Digest Award for an Outstanding Heroine – Prime Time in 1991.
In 1990, she portrayed Lucky Santangelo in the miniseries “Lucky Chances”, and then in 1991, she appeared in the “Twenty-Four Hours” episode of “Paradise”.
In 1997, she was in a single episode of “The Larry Sanders Show”, and in the same year portrayed Paige Matheson in “Knots Landing: Back to the Cul-de-Sac” (uncredited). Her next notable role came in “The Legend of Tarzan”, in which she lent her voice to Eleanor in 26 episodes. In 2003, she appeared in the “Toys in the Hood” episode of “Static Shock”, and then went on to act in single episodes of “Will & Grace” and “Becker” in 2003 as well.
The role which reminded the world of her once again was of Edie Britt in “Desperate Housewives”, which she began playing in 2004 and appeared in 92 episodes through 2009 when her character died. The series stars Teri Hatcher and Felicity Huffman, and follows several female friends who are living in a suburban neighborhood, and are curious to know more about the suicide of their neighbor.
For her performance, Nicollette won a share of Screen Actors Guild Award for an Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series in 2005, while she was nominated for three more including a Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actress – Series, Miniseries or Television Film in 2005. Some of Nicollette’s most recent roles in TV series have been in “The Christmas Spirit” in 2013, “All Yours” in 2016, and “Dynasty” in 2018 and 2019 in which she portrayed Alexis Carrington in 22 episodes.
Controversy
In April 2010, Nicollette filed a $20 million lawsuit against Marc Cherry, the producer and creator of the TV series “Desperate Housewives”, accusing him of assaulting and abusing her on set. She added that once she reported this to the network, she was fired and her character was killed-off, while the ABC network responded that they knew nothing about the case.
Other stars of “Desperate Housewives” such as Teri Hatcher and Marcia Gross stood in defence of Marc, and the case was later dismissed but the judge then wanted to know whether or not Nicollette was wrongfully fired. The trial was scheduled for September 2012 but was then dismissed, and Nicollette filed a new lawsuit which was rejected in November 2012.
Love life and husband
Nicollette married Leif Garrett in 1979 when she was 16 years old, and was given permission from his and her parents to move in with him. Leif is an actor, singer, and a TV personality, best known for being a teen idol in music. He later had drug problems and went to rehab.

After becoming a popular actress, Nicollette left Leif in 1985 and started dating other famous musicians such as Roger Wilson and Scott Baio – later Leif thanked Nicollette publicly for helping him when he was starting his music career, stating ‘She’s a special person in my life’. She married Harry Hamlin on 7 September 1991, having met him when the two starred in the film “Deceptions” in 1990. Harry is an actor, entrepreneur, and author, perhaps still best known for portraying Perseus in the fantasy film entitled “Clash of the Titans” released in 1981. On 21 August 1992, Harry filed for divorce citing irreconcilable differences. Nocollette then dated American singer and songwriter Michael Bolton from 1992 to 1997, and in 2004 began dating Nicklas Soderblom who is a Swedish personal trainer and they got engaged by the end of the year, however, it was called off in October 2005.
She started dating Michael Bolton once again in 2005 and the two became engaged in March 2006, but called it off in August 2008. She met Aaron Phypers in December 2014 and married him in December 2015, but filed for divorce on 15 July 2016, finalized in August 2018. Apparently she is officially single as of 2020.
Hobbies and other interests
Nicollette likes to travel, and has been all around the USA, while she has also visited many European countries such as Germany, Austria and Italy among numerous others. She enjoys watching movies in her spare time, while some of her favorite actors and actresses are Al Pacino, Leonardo DiCaprio and Helen Mirren, and some of her favorite movies are “Scarface”, “Catch Me If You Can”, and “Collateral Beauty”.
She is a lover of animals, and has had several pet dogs and cats during her career. She was physically very active during her 20s, 30s, and 40s as she went to the gym four to five times per week, and also played many sports with her friends and colleagues such as tennis and golf. She’s tasted many cuisines, with her favorite being Mexican, but although she likes eating, she has been on a strict diet since she was a teenager.
