Sasha Roiz was born in Tel Aviv, Israel, on 21 October 1973, so his zodiac sign is Libra, and he now holds both Israeli and Canadian nationality. He is an actor, best known for having starred as Sam Adama in the science fiction series “Caprica”, which also starred Eric Stoltz, Esai Morales, and Paula Malcomson, and which is about the Adamas and the Graystones families, and how they are dealing with artificial intelligence robots which are threatening human existence.

Childhood and education

Sasha spent his first seven years in Tel Aviv, where he was raised a single child by his Russian Jewish father who was a businessman, and his Jewish mother who was teaching at a local high school.

In 1980, Sasha moved with his parents to Montreal, Quebec, Canada and eventually enrolled at a local high school where he was playing basketball, but was mostly focused on working on his acting skills, appearing in most of the plays performed at the school. Upon matriculation, he enrolled at a college to study history, but soon quit and began studying acting at the Guildford School of Acting, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree in theatre in 1996.

In 2005, he played Manolete in the horror post-apocalyptic movie “Land of the Dead”, before being invited to portray the lead character Detective Kaller in the action thriller movie “16 Blocks” which also starred Bruce Willis and Mos Def.

Some of his next roles were in “Man of the Year” in 2006, “Unthinkable” in 2010, and “Extracted” in 2012.

In 2014, Sasha portrayed Proculus in the romantic historical disaster movie “Pompeii”, while his latest role has been in the direct-to-video superhero movie “Superman: Red Son” in 2020, in which he lent his voice to Hal Jordan and Green Lantern.

Sasha has also lent his voice to the Don Esteban Almeida character in the video game “The Godfather II”, and Pavel Cherny in the video game “Wolfenstein” in 2009.
