Scott Weinger is an American actor, voice actor, producer and writer as well, who is probably best known to the world in the original TV series “Full House” as Steve Hale, and its Netflix’ produced sequel “Fuller House” (2016-2020), but also as the voice of Aladdin in Disney’s original animated films and TV series of the same name, from 1994 to 2002.

Scott Eric Weinger was born on the 5th October 1975 in New York, USA, the son of Elliot Weinger, an orthopedic surgeon, and his wife Babs, a teacher.

Of Jewish ancestry, he grew up in southern Florida with his two younger brothers and a younger sister. After displaying the desire to become an actor, Scott and the family moved to Los Angeles where his career started. He later studied English and American literature at Harvard University, from which he graduated magna cum laude in 1998.

Career Beginning

Even before he turned 10 years old, Scott had made up his mind to become an actor; while in school on a Career Day he was impressed by an actor who gave a presentation, and the moment he got home he started asking his parents to provide him an agent.

Not long after, Scott made his debut in the commercial for Ideal Toys. At 13 years old he was cast in the comedy film “Police Academy 5: Assignment: Miami Beach” (1988), and the same year starred as Patrick Hemingway in the TV mini-series “Hemingway”, co-starring Stacy Keach and Josephine Chaplin, among others. Two years later, he was chosen for the role of Steve Taylor in the TV comedy series “The Family Man” (1990-1991).

Rise to Prominence

In 1991, Scott was selected for the role of his career, cast as Steve Hale in the TV comedy series “Full House”, and through 1995 appeared in 50 episodes of the award-winning series, which made him extremely popular.

In 1992 he was selected as the voice of the title character in the animated comedy-adventure film “Aladdin”, reprised two years later in the sequel “The Return of Jafar”, and from 1994 to 1995 he featured in the TV series “Aladdin”. He accepted the invitation, and from 2016 to 2020 appeared in 53 episodes, which reignited his career.
