Spencer W. List was born in Florida, USA, on 6 April 1998 – his zodiac sign is Aries and he holds American nationality. He is an actor, perhaps still best known for his portrayal of Tate in the episode “Coerced” of the mystery crime series “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit”, which has been airing since 1999 and which stars Mariska Hargitay, Christopher Meloni and Ice-T. It follows a team of detectives who are investigating sex crimes – it is very popular worldwide, and has won 52 awards including a Golden Globe for Mariska for Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series – Drama, while it was nominated for 151 other awards.

Childhood and education

Spencer spent the first four years of his life in Florida, where he was raised alongside his twin sister Peyton and their younger brother Phoenix List, by their father who is a businessman and their mother who is a nurse at a local hospital. Spencer became interested in acting while he was still attending elementary school, and appeared in a variety of commercials, and several plays performed at a local theatre.

He became physically active at high school, as he played football as well as soccer and basketball. Upon matriculation in 2016, Spencer decided not to enroll at a college, but to rather focus on his career as an actor.

Roles in movies

He made his debut film appearance in 2014, when he played a supporting character in the mystery film “Veronica Mars”, written and directed by Rob Thomas and which starred Kristen Bell, Jason Dohring and Enrico Colantoni. The movie follows Veronica Mars who comes back to her hometown to help her ex-boyfriend Logan Echolls who is involved in a murder – it was nominated for six awards.

In 2006, Spencer played Owen Haskett in the comedy film “Haskett’s Chance”, which starred John Ainsworth, David Aaron Baker and Dylan Baker, and is about a politician who gets sent back to Earth after being murdered.

He gained recognition after he portrayed Rabbit in the horror movie “Offspring” in 2009, which was directed by Andrew van den Houten and starred Jessica Butler, Kelly Carey and Holter Graham; the film is about a group of cannibals who are trying to kill one family’s baby girl. The year 2010 saw him appear as Martin in the crime horror movie “Bereavement”, which starred Michael Biehn, Brett Rickaby and Alexandra Daddario, and is about a girl forced to watch a madman while he is torturing his victims. Spencer’s following role was in the comedy movie “Bringing Up Bobby”, starring the famous actress Milla Jovovich, and which follows a woman who tries to stop being a con artist, but her past soon catches up with her.

Spencer went on to portray Young Marcus Miller in the independent horror movie “The Orphan Killer” in 2011, and Oliver Nicholas in the drama film “Night Has Settled” in 2014, before he was invited to star as AJ in the mystery thriller movie “A Wife’s Nightmare”, which also starred Jennifer Beals and Dylan Neal, and is about a woman with mental problems, who has to accept the fact that a young girl claiming to be her husband’s daughter is now living with her – it won Jennifer a nomination for a Canadian Screen Award for Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role in a Dramatic Program or Limited Series.

Three of Spencer’s most recent roles have been in the horror movie “Foreclosure” in which he played Steven, and the found footage horror movie “Mockingbird” both in 2014, and in the comedy film “Hard Sell” in 2016, which starred Katrina Bowden, Skyler Gisondo and Kristin Chenoweth.

Roles in TV series

In 2004, Spencer portrayed Ace in the critically acclaimed soap opera “One Life to Live”, which aired from 1968 to 2013, and which starred Erika Slezak, Michael Easton and Kristen Alderson – it was clearly very popular, as it won 95 awards and was nominated for 423 others, including two Primetime Emmys.

Spencer went on to make an uncredited appearance in the episode “LeBron James/Kanye West” of the late-night sketch comedy show “Saturday Night Live” in 2007, and in 2009 he voiced the Giraffe in the episode “Job Well Done” of the children’s animated series “Wonder Pets!”

He was praised for his portrayal of the mysterious mute boy in the episode “Inner Child” of the science fiction series “Fringe”, which starred Anna Torv and Joshua Jackson, and was very popular in the US as it won 18 awards and was nominated for 86 others, including three Primetime Emmys. The year 2011 saw him guest star as Troy Faber in the episode “A Few Dead Men” of the police procedural series “CSI: Miami”, before he was invited to portray Lurvin in a single episode of the teen comedy series “iCarly”, which starred Miranda Cosgrove and Jennette McCurdy and aired from 8 September 2007 to 23 November 2012.

Three of Spencer’s most recent roles in TV series have been in the episode “Luke’s Back” of the comedy series “Bunk’d” in 2016, three episodes of the family series “The Fosters” in 2018, and the episode “A Very Coterie Christmas” of the series “Good Trouble” in 2019.

Love life and relationships. Girlfriend or gay?

There are rumors circulating the internet that the popular actor is gay, as he can often be seen spending time with boys and rarely with women, but it’s known that he has been dating his high school sweetheart Aileen Deras for over five years now. They met in 2014 at class, and started dating a month later and also went to the prom together.

Since then, Spencer has often uploaded pictures featuring them together onto his Instagram account, but this hasn’t stopped the rumors of him being gay spreading around the internet.
