Former Canadian model and dancer, Elaine Starchuk, who also went by the names Honey and Candice Starrek, will forever be remembered as the first wife of the musician and Motley Crue drummer, Tommy Lee. Despite not enjoying a very successful career, Elaine had gained some fame, especially because of her marriage to one of the most successful musicians in rock. Elaine may have been known as a glamorous person during her years in the limelight, but the sad truths concerning her life are much darker than one would consider at first.

Dreaming of The Catwalk
Elaine Margaret Starchuk was born in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, on 7 April 1964; who her parents were, and if she has any siblings, has never been revealed. Elaine has kept most of her early life and information on her family quiet, as she never spoke of it or them to the media.
However, it is known that Elaine had dreamed of following a career in modelling from a young age. Honestly, how many young girls and women haven’t?
The lure of the catwalk with its lucrative promises, glamorous lifestyles, and flashing cameras has been a widespread dream, and so the desire of many young women from all over the world.
Elaine, like one of many women who had taken drastic measures to make her dream a reality, was so obsessed with being a model, that at the young age of 16 in 1980, she had breast augmentation surgery – done one wonders who paid for it!
Despite being an attractive young woman, standing 5ft 8ins (1.73m) tall with thick, dark-brown hair, hazel eyes, and a slim figure that would be the envy of many, she still felt compelled to improve her appearance.
Sadly though, her career as a model didn’t take the course that she had perhaps hoped it would. Shortly after high school and barely eighteen years old, Elaine travelled across the border to Canada’s neighbouring country the United States of America, in search of her dream.
There in 1982, Elaine began her career, but hadd few opportunities. She eventually gained recognition only when she began modelling for provocative magazines like Playboy.
Although it was quite an achievement to model for Hugh Hefner’s super successful magazine, it is certainly not the kind of modelling dreams the young girl from Vancouver may have hoped for.
Despite this, Elaine still did the best she could, and so also featured in other publications that included Miss Nude BC as well as Penthouse, which in all gained her wide acclaim.
Her Short-Lived Marriage to Tommy Lee
While working as a model and part-time dancer, Elaine gained the attention of several famous men with whom she had romantic involvements, but her most famous relationship was with Tommy Lee.
Among her other romances, a few notable names had been Vince Neil, the lead singer, and David Coverdale and Nikki Sixx, the bassist and primary songwriter of the Motley Crue glam-rock band.
While Elaine may have been popular with most members of Motley Crue, she initially married Tommy Lee with whom she had a long-term relationship. After dating for more than two years, the couple tied the knot on 24 November 1984. However, only seven days later the two newlyweds separated, and divorced in May 1985.
Although no reason was given at the time for Elaine’s separation from Tommy, the truth later surfaced in the film The Dirt. In one scene it was shown how Tommy physically abused his first wife, who was named in the film as Roxy, but many knew that she represented Elaine Starchuk. Tommy Lee later went on to marry model and actress Pamela Anderson.
Elaine’s Life Since
Following her separation with Tommy, Elaine made every attempt to get her life back on track.
With experience in modelling and beauty, she started her own company that specialized in eyelash extensions, as well as a teaching institute that taught the finer points of eyelash extensions. It is named Enlightened Eyelash Academy, and among some of her notable clients were Avril Lavigne and many other stars and models, plus she also worked on the set of the ‘Transformers’ film.
As if a failed modelling career and traumatic relationship with a glam-rock drummer had not been enough, Elaine was met with further tragedy. While out shopping on 13 May 2013 in Nature’s Fair Market of Langley, Virginia, Elaine became one of several victims of a car collision.
In a bizarre event, an elderly gentleman drove his car into the shop’s window, and
Elaine suffered multiple injuries that included soft tissue damage to her arms, neck and chest, and also required her to undergo recovery surgery on her breast augmentation. Due to her injuries, Elaine could no longer work as either a beautician or instructor, although she was subsequently awarded $440,000 in compensation for her losses.
The former model, who has recently turned 56, has lived a quiet life away from the limelight since, and nothing is known about her further affairs or relationships.
