Sam Skarsgård is a Swedish physician and actor, but who is best known for being the son of the iconic actor Stellan Skarsgård. Sam was born on 5 June 1982 as Samuel Kristoffer Ymer Skarsgård, in Stockholm, Sweden. His father is the veteran actor Stellan, who has been acting now for more than five decades. Many might have difficulty recognising him in the “Pirates of The Caribean” films due to his costume details that effectively hid his face.
Stellan was Will Turner’s father, Bootstrap Bill Turner, in both “Dead Man’s Chest” and “At World’s End”. Sam’s mother, My Skarsgård, is a physician and the inspiration behind Sam’s motivation to become a doctor. He has four brothers, namely Alexander, Gustaf, Bill and Valter, as well as a sister, Eija.
