Samantha Boscarino was born in Ventura County, California USA on 26 December 1994 – her zodiac sign is Capricorn, she holds American nationality, and is of Ecuadorian and Italian descent. She is an actress and a singer, best known for starring in “The Clique” film, and in the “How to Rock” Nickelodeon series.
Early life and education
Samantha was raised with her sister named Lea in Ventura County, by her father who is a taxi driver, and her mother who is a teacher.
She was bullied while attending elementary school, and even later when she became a successful actress, someone told her she was gold and would never be a diamond, to which she responded ‘Thank you, but diamonds break easier than gold and people shine more through brokenness’. She was physically active while attending high school, as she played soccer and ran track. After matriculation, Samantha did not enroll at college but rather started working on her way up in the film industry, and became a model.
Career as an actress
Samantha has appeared in only three films during her career, portraying Alicia Rivera in her debut appearance in “The Clique” in 2008.
The movie follows a teenager who is trying to fit into middle school, and starred Elizabeth McLaughlin, Ellen Marlow and Sophie Anna Everhard. She went on to appear in “The Perfect Game” in 2009, portraying Gloria Jimenez and then stopped appearing in movies for the next ten years, returning in “God’s Not Dead: A Light in Darkness” in 2018, playing Keaton. She made her debut TV series appearance in an episode of “Jonas” in 2009, and then appeared in the “Perchance to Dream” episode of “Parenthood” and in the “Trapped in Paris” episode of “True Jackson, VP”, both in 2010.
She gained recognition after portraying Skyler (recurring role) in “Good Luck Charlie” (2010-2014), the TV series following the Duncan family who have recently welcomed a fourth child named Charlie. She appeared in “Wizards of Waverly Place” in 2010, and “Bucket & Skinner’s Epic Adventures” in 2011, before being invited to play the lead role of Molly Garfunkel in “How to Rock” in 2012.
In 2014, she featured in the “Semper Fortis” episode of “NCIS”, and the “Trust Me, I’m Getting Plenty of Erections” episode of “House of Lives” in 2015, while also appearing in “Girl Meets World” and “Hot in Cleveland” TV series’ in the same year.
Some of her latest appearances in TV series have been in “Animal Kingdom” in 2017 and “The Resident” in 2019.
Love life and relationships
In 2008, Samantha started dating British actor Gregg Sulkin, after they met at an audition for a TV series. They were together for a year before splitting in 2009, apparently because Samantha cheating on Gregg with Matt Shively, an American actor. In 2009 as well, there were rumors circulating the internet that the popular actress was seeing Doug Haley, another American actor, but the two allegedly broke up after several months of dating.
Samantha then started dating Booboo Stewart in 2012 after the two met on the set of a TV series, however, that relationship was short-lived too, less than a year before the two broke up due to busy schedules and little time to spend together. It is believed that Samantha is currently dating an actor whom she met on the set of “Animal Kingdom” in 2017 – the two are obviously trying to stay away from the media’s attention.
Hobbies and other interests
Samantha is a huge fan of the film industry, with her favorite actor and actress being Will Smith and Scarlett Johansson, while some of her favorite movies are “Suicide Squad”, “Independence Day”, and “Lost in Translation”.
She is a huge lover of animals, and has a pet dog who can often be seen featured in the pictures she uploads onto her Instagram account. Samantha’s favorite season is summer, which she enjoys spending in Miami, lying on beaches tanning her body. Travelling is one of her main hobbies, and she has been to several US states as well as a couple of European countries, such as Germany, Italy and Greece. Samantha is a philanthropist who has donated some of her earnings to several charity organizations including the Red Cross, while she has also volunteered with some of them.
