Who is LosPollosTV?

Louis – surname unknown – was born on 8 February 1995, in the United States of America, and is a Twitch streamer as well as a YouTube personality, best known from rising to fame through playing various games within the “NBA 2K” franchise.

The Riches of LosPollosTV

As of mid-2020, LosPollosTV’s net worth is estimated to be over $1 million, earned through a successful career online. He’s earned a lot from Twitch donations, partnerships, sponsorships, and advertising revenue.

https://www.instagram.com/p/B8-betLnJ7c/

While he’s been one of the more popular streamers and YouTubers focused on “NBA 2K” and basketball, he’s also attracted controversy which may have affected his potential earnings.

Early Life and Online Beginnings

LosPollosTV is of Italian descent though he hasn’t talked a lot about his family, save for the fact that he grew up very close with his father. Growing up, he developed a love for gaming, and a deep love for professional basketball, following the National Basketball Association (NBA) from his youth up. When he discovered that there were video games, he began playing a lot, particularly that of the “NBA 2K” franchise.

“NBA 2K” is a sports simulation game of professional basketball based on the NBA, published by 2K sports, though it was originally a creation of Sega Sports. The game simulates realistic situations or scenarios typical in a professional basketball game, with a player controlling an entire team, or a single player. Over the years, the game has improved dramatically in terms of graphics and gameplay, also updating with a new release annually to cover the latest season of the NBA. While the “NBA 2K” franchise has generally been unrivaled since the 2000s, it has also been criticized recently on numerous fronts, mainly stemming from bugs, the lack of support, and monetization system that has had recurring problems for many years.

Despite that, “NBA 2K” remains the primary choice for any game focused on the NBA, due to its realism and close ties with the league.

Streaming and YouTube

While playing a lot of “NBA 2K”, LosPollosTV discovered that he could potentially earn a fortune, particularly if he became famous streaming the game. Streaming at the time was relatively new, and the platform Twitch was at its infancy. Twitch has become one of the top platforms for video game streaming, helping bring in fame and fortune to many. He began streaming regularly, and eventually his followership grew. People enjoyed his gameplay and he gained a lot of attention for spending huge amounts of money on booster pack openings, a feature of “NBA 2K” that allowed players to gain cards of popular basketball players to be used in online games.

His viewers even fueled his love for opening packs, donating to him but making him spend all the money on packs. Eventually, he began looking for other streams of income, and created a YouTube channel on which he posted some of his gameplay and stream highlights.

Other Endeavors

LosPollosTV continued to stream and play “NBA 2K” games with each release, though later on his YouTube channel became more of a video blog (vlog) channel. He posted videos of himself playing basketball, spending time with the family, while also doing challenge, and question and answer (Q&A) videos. Thanks to his fame on Twitch, he has also been invited several times to the event.

The event is held every two years and celebrates the video game streaming culture popularized by Twitch. The convention allows people to meet streamers and various online communities.

He also began streaming the video game “Fortnite Battle Royale” following its launch and rapid rise to international popularity. The online game is created by Epic Games, and is a spin-off from “Fortnite: Save the World” in response to the sudden surge of popularity of battle royale genre games. In “Fortnite Battle Royale”, 100 players battle it out on an island where they must scavenge for resources, surviving and ultimately standing on top.

Within its first year of launch, it drew in over 125 million players, earning the company hundreds of millions of dollars. Eventually as the hype for the game faded, he returned to streaming his regular “NBA 2K” content.

Controversies

LosPollosTV has attracted a lot of controversy as well, mainly for actions that have caused trouble for many, particularly his paying supporters. One of his earliest issues came in 2017, when he received a temporary ban from Twitch after organizing a raid on the stream of Avajaijai. He took over 2,000 people to her stream, which led to his viewers spamming her chat.

He is also known to have little control over his temper – in some streams, he promised viewers to stream for a set amount of time or to use their donations for specific things, but due to rage,he quit his streams early, not fulfilling any of his promises.

This led many to believe that he was purposefully doing it to get away with money. He has also hosted fake giveaways and donation runs, which have led to more money in his pocket, albeit in a dishonest way. While he was gaining the ire of many of his former supporters, he suddenly went on an emotional stream, saying that he had problems with his family and that he would be homeless.

He refused to disclose any details about the matter, but many were skeptical, believing that he was just being dramatic to cover his past problems, and gather more money from those who pitied him. He’s mostly been more stable in recent months so most of the issues have died down.

Personal Life

LosPollosTV is single, though he has shown a lot of interest in various female streamers during his career, expressing his admiration for many of them. He was once very attracted to the streamer Alyssa, and at one point tried confessing his feelings to her while streaming, but he was quickly shot down. The video in which he was friend-zoned went viral, and Alyssa later apologized, saying that she didn’t mean to put him in that kind of position.

How rich is xQc (aka xQcOW)? What is his salary? Net Worth

Published

on

What is xQc’s real name?

Felix Lengyel   XQc, also known as xQcOW – was born in Laval, Quebec, Canada, on 12 November 1995 – his zodiac sign is Scorpio, he is of French descent, and holds Canadian nationality. He is a former professional “Overwatch” player, a social media star and a Twitch streamer, who is today perhaps known best for his Twitch channel onto which he mostly livestreams while playing the video game “Overwatch”.

Early life and education

XQc was raised in Laval alongside his brother Nicolas – their parents divorced when xQc was only a year old, after which the boys spent equal time with their mother and their father.

https://www.instagram.com/p/B_cBH6dJ6yw/

XQc grew up being interested in various sports, his two favorites being skateboarding and snowboarding – knowing that these sports are dangerous, his parents agreed to let him skateboard and snowboard only if he wore his knee pads and helmets. At around the same time, xQc became interested in playing video games, and often played against his peers.

Upon matriculating in 2013, xQc enrolled at the post-secondary pre-university collegiate technical college CEGEP at which he studied humanities, but then switched to administration – he dropped out just before graduation to focus on his career as a gamer and Twitch streamer.

Career as a professional gamer

XQc initially wanted to play the video game “League of Legends”, and mostly livestreamed it on Twitch, however, after learning about “Overwatch”, he began playing that instead, and soon found himself competing with and against professional e-Sport players.

He started off by playing for the semi-professional team DatZit Gaming as their main tank, and on 13 August 2016, the boys won the Dreamhack Montreal 2016 Overwatch tournament. XQc left the team not long afterwards, and moved to the team Q?, which was on 12 October 2016 bought by Denial eSports, a former professional e-Sports organization based in the US.

Denial failed to pay its players, and as xQc has stated, they owed them $2,800 each when the team disbanded. The boys went on to form their own team, calling themselves YIKES! before changing it to Arc.6 – they qualified to compete in Season Zero of Overwatch Contenders, but lost during the group stage. Their final tournament together was the Beat Invitational: Season 2 which they finished in third place.

It was announced on 28 October 2017 that xQc would be joining Dallas Fuel as their ninth player, and he played several matches before it was revealed that he had made homophobic remarks towards Austin ‘Muma’ Wilmot, a rival playing for the Houston Outlaws, during one of his Twitch streams, and was thus fined $2,000 and suspended for several matches.

The suspension was later extended, but xQc eventually returned and led Dallas Fuel to victory against the Los Angeles Gladiators. Not long afterwards, he was suspended once again for social media violations, and then announced that he was going to retire and focus solely on being a Twitch streamer. However, xQc changed his mind, and joined the team GOATS, then moved to Gladiators Legion on 2 February 2019, but left in late 2019.

He has also entered international tournaments with Team Canada, and was in 2017 named the tournament’s Most Valuable Player (MVP), however, Team Canada still lost in the finals against South Korea, the defending champion – in 2018, the team reached the quarterfinals, while they failed to pass the group stage in July 2019.

Twitch and YouTube

In 2019, xQc became a full-time streamer, and today usually spends around nine hours live-streaming every day – he was the 29th most followed streamer in October 2019, and is today the owner of one of the most subscribed to channels, with around 35,000 monthly subscribers. XQc still plays “Overwatch” but today seems more focused on testing new Steam releases, streaming while attending various gaming events such as BlizzCon and TwitchCon to show his fans how the events look. The highest number of xQc’s all-time peak viewers is today 222,720, while his record for total unique viewers in a single stream is 1,971,819 people set on 9 April 2020.

He has also become interested in chess, and occasionally streams while playing it. He began playing chess in March 2020 and, Grandmaster Hikaru Nakamura who is also a Twitch streamer decided to teach him – many streamers have since joined Chess.com, and the website then created a special chess tournament for streamers, at which xQc lost in the semi-finals.

He is also running his YouTube channel “xQcOW”, which he launched on 8 March 2015, and is today subscribed to by around 1.25 million people, and numbers around 525 million views of all xQc’s videos combined. He mostly uploads highlights of his Twitch streams, while his most popular video “xQc REACTS TO DAILY DOSE OF INTERNET | Episode 1 | xQcOW” has been watched around 3.5 million times since 19 January 2019.

Bans and suspensions

XQc was suspended twice from “Overwatch” for violating Blizzard’s terms of usage, and has been permanently banned from playing “League of Legends” – he is one of 0.006 percent of the game’s players who are considered ‘negative enough to be permanently banned’.

He was banned from Twitch (for three days) for the first time on 31 July 2019, when he streamed a video featuring pornographic scenes – he was banned for three days once again on 29 February 2020 after showing nudity in the video game “Connect Four”. XQc was banned for a day on 12 June 2020 for watching two gorillas have sex, and on 18 November 2020 he was banned for a week after stream sniping while playing “Fall Guys” at the Twitch Rivals event – stream sniping is when a person watches someone livestreaming while playing the same game as them, so that they could know their location and take them down in the game. XQc was also banned for half a year from Twitch Rivals for this.

Love life and relationships

XQc is quite secretive when it comes to his relationships, and is keeping the details of the girls he might have dated hidden from the public’s attention.

However, there are rumors circulating the internet, mostly on Reddit.com, that he is currently in a relationship with a fellow Twitch streamer who has occasionally appeared in his streams when they play the video game “Fortnite” together. The girl in question is one of xQc’s best friends, but there are many who believe that she is also his girlfriend, and that they have been dating for over a year now – however, neither of the two have commented on this.

There are also rumors claiming that xQc is gay but these haven’t been confirmed either.

As of December 2020, xQc appears to be single, hasn’t married and doesn’t have children.

Hobbies and other interests

XQc is physically active, as he has several training sessions at the gym each week, however, as he is quite skinny, his body doesn’t appear as very muscular.

He became interested in travelling when he competed abroad for the first time, and has since travelled to various European countries as well as Asian, for both work and pleasure – his dream travel destination is Tokyo in Japan.

XQc is a big lover of animals, with dogs being his favorites – he has a pet dog and a pet cat which can be seen featured in some of his Instagram pictures.

He occasionally watches movies, and his favorite actor is Johnny Depp while a couple of his favorite films are the franchise “The Pirates of the Caribbean”, “Edward Scissorhands” and “Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street”.

How rich is he and what is his salary?

XQc is 25 years old. He has short brown hair which he dyes blonde, and his eyes are brown. He is 6ft 2ins (1.88m) tall and weighs around 170lbs (78kgs).

As of December 2020, his net worth has been estimated at over $2 million.

Nevertheless, his nickname, DansGame is now an emote on Twitch, used to show revulsion, anger, and annoyance. DansGame discovered “Super Mario Bros” when he was just three years old, and started playing it on his Nintendo – it is still one of his favorite games.

He would turn to video games whenever he had problems, and this became his hobby as he got older, and now his profession. He enjoyed playing video games on Nintendo Entertainment System (NES), but the console developed as the years passed, which only improved his gaming skills. His education was in second place behind games, and he finished only high school, by-passing college.

DansGame is one of the first streamers, and he struggled to make a break; he started back in August 2009, but needed some time to get things going his way.

In 2010 he started his YouTube channel, on which he began uploading “Let’s Play” videos preferably on horror and action games, such as “Still Life 2”, “Mass Effect 2”, and “A Vampyre Story”, and others.
