What is Nina Lu’s nationality?

Nina Lu was born in Los Angeles, California USA, on 18 September 2003 – her zodiac sign is Virgo, she is of Chinese descent and holds American nationality. She is an actress who might be known best for her portrayal of Tiffany in the family comedy series “Bunk’d”, created by Pamela Eells, and which has been running since 2015. It stars Miranda May, Peyton List and Karan Brar, and is about three teenagers who go to a summer camp in Maine at which they all fall in love, and meet new friends.

For her performance, Nina was nominated for a Young Entertainer Award for Best Supporting Young actress – Television Series.

Childhood and education

Nina was raised alongside her older sister Macy in Los Angeles, by their Chinese father who is the owner of his own small computer store, and their American mother who is teaching English at a local high school. As Nina hasn’t forgotten about her Chinese roots, she began learning the Chinese language at the age of six, and is now fluent.

Nina became interested in acting at a very early age, but was urged by her parents to focus on her education. However, they eventually let her pursue her dreams by joining her elementary school’s drama club, and she starred in nearly all of the school plays, and launched her acting career while still attending elementary school. In 2017, Nina enrolled at a local high school at which she is today physically active, as she is playing soccer and is also appearing in school plays.

It appears that Nina won’t be pursuing a college degree, but will keep working her way up in the film industry.

To date, Nina has only been credited with four other appearances other than in “Bunk’d”. She made her debut TV series appearance in 2015, when invited to play Tiffany, one of the lead characters in the episodes “Bunk’d Masked Man Madness” and “Bunk’d Bear Scare” of the family series “Disney Monstober”, which also starred Aaron Groben and Nathan Arenas.

Nina made her debut film appearance in 2017, when cast to star as Ivy Ling alongside Hannah Nordberg and Gwendoline Yeo in the short family film “An American Girl Story: Ivy & Julie”, written by May Chan and Julie Ann Sipos, and directed by Sasie Sealy.

The film follows Ivy and Julie, two best friends living in San Francisco in 1976 – it won one award and was nominated for seven others.

In 2018, Nina played the lead character Busy in all seven episodes of the family series “Baby Doll Records”, which is about Dru who is dreaming about becoming a famous music producer. Her most recent appearance has been in four 2019 and four 2020 episodes of the comedy series “Sunnyside Up”, in which she starred as Mila Wong alongside Jules LeBlanc and Chase Liefeld.

Love life and boyfriend

Nina is very secretive when it comes to her love life, and hasn’t talked about any boys she might have dated, which is why there are rumors circulating the internet that the popular actress might be a lesbian, and is still afraid to come out of the closet – Nina hasn’t commented on these rumors.

Conversely, it’s believed by many that she might be secretly dating a mysterious non-celebrity boy, as several of her fans have claimed to have seen the two walking hand in hand in the streets of Los Angeles, but no evidence has been provided to support these claims either – according to these rumors, the two might have met at school and have been together for over a year now.

As Nina hasn’t commented on her love life, she is single as of October 2020, hasn’t married and doesn’t have children.
