Mark ‘DJ Pooh’ Jordan was born in Los Angeles, California USA, on 29 June 1969 – his zodiac sign is Cancer and he holds American nationality. He is a record producer, actor, film writer and director, perhaps best known for having worked with famous rappers such as Ice Cube and Snoop Dogg among others.

Early life, family and education

DJ Pooh was raised as an only child in Los Angeles by his father who was a lawyer and his mother who was an accountant – he prefers not to share details of his family with the public.

He attended a local high school at which he became interested in rapping – he and his friends would listen to rap music almost all day.

While attending his senior year, DJ Pooh started creating his own music, and after he matriculated in 1987, he decided to focus on his career as a record producer rather than to pursue a college degree.

In 1992, DJ Pooh made his debut acting appearance when he starred in the short music video “Get the Fist Movement Get the Fist”, which also starred Cypress Hill and Da Lench Mob, while he gained recognition in 1995 when he played Red in the comedy drama “Friday”, which starred Ice Cube, Chris Tucker and Nia Long, and is about two friends who have to find a way to gather $200 by the end of the night after they smoke their drug dealer’s weed – the film was also written by DJ Pooh and Ice Cube.
