Allan Joseph Kayser II was born in Littleton, Colorado USA, on 18 December 1963 – his zodiac sign is Sagittarius and he holds American nationality. He is an actor, best known for having portrayed the lead character Mitchel ‘Bubba’ Higgins in the comedy series “Mama’s Family” which also starred Vicki Lawrence, Beverly Archer and Ken Berry and which follows two sisters Thelma ‘Mama’ Harper and Fran living at Mama’s home. The series was a hit, winning two awards including one Primetime Emmy while it was nominated for eight others; Allan was shooting for it from 1986 to 1990, appearing in 95 episodes before the series ended.
Allan has been retired from acting since 2013, and is currently living an apparently peaceful life with his wife.

Early life and education
Allan was raised an only child in Littleton by his father who was a theater actor, and his mother who was an artist. Allan’s father often took him to the theatre, and Allan thus fell in love with acting at a very early age.
He attended Columbine High School from 1978 to 1982, and was a member of the school’s drama club, appearing in nearly all the plays performed there (the very same school where in 1999 the tragic shootings occurred). Around 15 years after matriculating, he enrolled at Central Missouri State University in Warrensburg, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree in theatre three years later. While there, he performed with the university’s troupe at a local theatre.
Career as an actor
Aftwr a few uncredited and minor support roles, Allan made his first noted film performance in 1985, when he portrayed the lead character Jason in the comedy movie “Hot Chili”, which also starred Joe Rubbo and Taaffe O’Connell, and which is about the adventures of a group of American teenagers who go to work in Mexico for the summer. In 1986, Allan played the supporting character Brad in the science fiction horror comedy movie “Night of the Creeps”, which starred Jason Lively, Tom Atkins and Steve Marshall, and which is about teenagers fighting aliens who turn people into zombies – the film won a Fred Dekker a Rondo Statuette Award for Best Commentary.
In 1997, Allan was invited to play the supporting role as Glen in the drama musical movie “Journey of the Heart”, which starred Cybill Shepherd and Stephen Lang, and which is about a woman raising her two strange boys all by herself. The year 2002 saw him play Nicky’s dad in the Disney film “Double Teamed”, and Tony in the family drama movie “More Than Puppy Love”, which was both written and directed by Tom Whitus. In 2006, he portrayed the main character Eric McKenzie in the drama film “Shimmer”, which was written and directed by Andrew Robinson, and which also starred Blaire Baron and Mark Arnold; it’s the story about a mother, her troublesome son and an old friend, who move back into town 20 years after leaving.
In 2008, Allan played Tobias in the drama movie “All Roads Lead Home”, which was a hit, winning two awards, and in 2009 portrayed Handsome Billy Bob Brown in the short horror movie “Next Caller”, which was written and directed by Patrick Rea and which starred Jennifer Friend and Dale Kovar. Some of Allan’s latest appearances in movies and TV series have been in the horror movie “House of Forbidden Secrets” in which he portrayed Brad, and in the horror thriller crime film “House of the Witch Doctor” both in 2013, which starred Bill Moseley and Leslie Easterbrook and which is about a group of teenagers who are killed at a party by a man who was released from jail just days before.
Other appearances
In 1987, Allan competed in five episodes of the TV game show “The $25,000 Pyramid”, and in the same year appeared in two episodes of another game show, “Hollywood Squares” which features two people playing tic-tac-toe against one another.
The year 1989 saw Allan appear in the TV special “Circus of the Stars”, which was broadcast by CBS network, and in 1992 he appeared in the Vicki Lawrence’s talk show “Vicki!”, which was a big hit and was nominated for many Daytime Emmy Awards.
Love life and wife
Allan met his first wife Lori in the early ‘90s, when they were acting together in a play performed at a local theatre, and started dating just days later.
They married after being together for two years and Lori gave birth to two of their children. Allan and Lori founded their own dance academy in Warrensburg, Missouri called Lori’s Performing Arts Academy, and they ran it together for years, however, after the couple divorced citing ‘irreconcilable differences’, the academy was renamed to Center Stage Academy for the Performing Arts.
After the divorce, Allan was in several short-term relationships, none of which lasted longer than a few months, until in 2012 he met Sara, who was working at a museum. They married on 23 August 2014 in a private ceremony attended by only their closest friends and family, and Sara subsequently gave birth to their two children.
The family of four is currently living together in Warrensburg.
Hobbies and other interests
Allan has been physically active since his teenage years, as he has been playing football, soccer and tennis with his friends and colleagues, while he is also said to be good at golf. He likes to travel, and has been all around the US during his acting career, visiting states such as New York, Texas and Arizona, while he has also vacationed in Europe on several occasions in countries such as England and Spain among others. He is a lover of animals, and has had several pet dogs, while his favorite ‘animals’ are dolphins and horses.
Allan likes to listen to jazz and pop music, with some of his favorite performers being Nile Rodgers and Frank Sinatra, while some of his favorite songs are “Freak Out”, “We Are Family”, and “Killing Me Softly”.
He enjoys watching movies late at night, and some of his favorite actors and actresses are Russell Crowe, Natalie Portman and Julia Roberts while some of his favorite movies include “Gladiator”, “V for Vendetta”, and “Leon: The Professional”.
