Early life and education
Brandon was raised in Brandon Dallas in a middle-class family – his father Chris is a taxi driver, while his mother Gina is working in the customer service department of ParkHub; he has an older sister named Halie Arreaga. His family is very religious, and Brandon began going to church with his parents at the age of four, becoming very religious and on several occasions stating how his voice and talent are gifts from God.
He was physically very active at high school, and although he was bullied because of his appearance and his dancing, he continued singing and dancing while also playing soccer and lacrosse. Simon Cowell, the man best known for creating and judging “Britain’s Got Talent” reality TV show, formed the PrettyMuch band in 2016, with its members being Brandon, Edwin Honoret, Nick Mara, Austin Porter, and Zion Kuwonu, all solo performers before Simon united them.
They gained recognition in 2017 after they began uploading cover songs and their dancing videos onto the internet – their debut song entitled “Would You Mind” was released in July 2017, and went on to perform it at the 2017 Teen Choice Awards, as well as at the 2017 MTV Video Music Awards. Their second song “Teacher” was released in October 2017, and their third single entitled “Open Arms” on 27 October.
Their debut extended play (EP) called “PrettyMuch an EP” was released on 19 April 2018, and their single “Summer On You” followed on 21 June 2018. The song was written by the popular singer/songwriter Ed Sheeran, and was featured in the top 50 list on Pop Radio.
Their two next songs entitled “Solita” and “Real Friends” were released on 28 September and 17 October 201 while “Jello” followed on 14 December.
PrettyMuch began the year 2019 with the release of their single “BLiND” on 25 January, and their second 2019 song on 26 April entitled “Phases”, which was followed by their second EP entitled “Phases – EP” on 24 May. They wrote history after collaborating with the CNCO Latin-American boy band on their “Me Necesita” song, which was released on 23 October 2019, then their third EP entitled “INTL:EP” came out on 22 November 2019, consisting of just four songs.
Brandon has also worked with the “TrueCrew” entertainment group, which has the goal of reaching out to people through their dancing and singing performances. Brandon has been featured in several TV shows too, such as “Good Morning America” and “Entertainment Tonight Canada”, while he also appeared in the “A Christmas Story Live” film shot in 2017. Austin Porter was born in Charlotte, North Carolina on 14 August 1997, and was a rapper before joining the band, and was inspired by singers and groups including Elton John, Chicago, and The Beatles. Zion Kuwonu, the last member of the group, was born in Ottawa, Canada on 29 June 1999; his favorite singers are Justin Bieber and Michael Jackson, and he was a Viner (social media platform) before becoming a singer.
Love life and relationships
Brandon met Charlotte Dean while he was still attending high school, and they began dating in 2016. Brandon announced that they were together when their “Charlotte Dean IG Live w/ Brandon Arreaga (7/10/18)” video was uploaded onto YouTube on 10 July 2018, but split in November of the same year.
In 2019, Brandon began dating Maggie Lindemann, an American singer best known for her song “Pretty Girl” which reached #2 on Sweden charts, #4 in Belgium, and #8 in Norway. She was born in Dallas, Texas on 21 July 1998, and launched her career by posting her songs on the Keek social media app. Her first song – “Knocking On Your Heart” – was released in September 2015, and the “Couple of Kids” followed on 30 October 2015. Brandon had the idea of becoming an actor – some of his favorite actors and actresses are Denzel Washington, Brad Pitt and Frances McDormand, while some of the movies he enjoys watching the most are “Man On Fire”, “Mr. and Mrs Smith”, and “American Gangster”. His main hobby is travelling, and he has been all around the world to countries such as France, Belgium, India and Japan.
He is physically very active, as he believes exercising is good for both your body and your soul, and has several training sessions at the gym each week. He is a huge lover of animals, and has a pet dog which can often be seen featured in the pictures he uploads onto his Instagram account. Summer is Brandon’s favorite season, as he is a fan of beach sports such as soccer and volleyball, while he is also keen on swimming in the ocean.
