Jenna Davis was born in Plano, Texas USA, on 5 May 2004 – her zodiac sign is Taurus and she holds American nationality. She is an actress and a singer, who might be known best for her portrayal of Monica in the family comedy series “Chicken Girls”, which has been running since 2017 and stars Jules LeBlanc, Brooke Elizabeth Butler and Indiana Massara. The story follows the dance group The Chicken Girls led by the series’ lead character Rhyme. It has been nominated for five awards.
Childhood and education
Jenna was raised alongside her siblings in Plano by her father who is a theatre actor, and her mother who is a wardrobe stylist.
She became interested in dancing at a very early age, and was just two when her mother enrolled her into a dancing school – upon turning five, Jenna started taking acting lessons, and in 2010 won a talent competition organized in her home town. Jenna completed the first five grades of elementary school in Plano, then the family moved to Los Angeles, California to help her pursue her acting career, and she continued her education there.
She enrolled at a local high school in 2018 – it doesn’t appear as though she is planning to pursue a college degree after that, and assuming that she matriculates in 2022, she will most likely focus on her acting career.
Roles in movies
Jenna made her debut film appearance in 2014 at the age of 10, when invited to play the lead character Avery in the short drama “And Happiness” written by Daniel Reynolds, directed by Nathan Block, and which also starred Alex Galick and Anni Jordan-Amberg – it’s about Shaun and Erin who want to have children, but their fate is somewhat different.
The year 2015 saw her star as Sam in another short – “The Clubhouse” – written and directed by Dan Delano, and which also starred Alexander Michuda and Marty Backstrand. In the same year, Jenna appeared in two other short films: the horror drama “The Woods” written and directed by Tiffany Hedtke, and the drama “Some Calming Music”, which follows a young girl Evy who finds comfort in calming music after her mother dies.
In 2018, she appeared in the short music video “Annie LeBlanc: Picture This”, and then played Ingrid, one of the lead characters in her first full-length movie, “Mr. Neighbor’s House”, a comedy which follows Mr. Neighbor on a mission to save his suburb called Neighborton.
The same year saw Jenna play Monica in the comedy drama “Chicken Girls: The Movie”, and one of her most recent roles in films has been in the 2020 short music video “Jenna Davis: Under the Surface”.
Jenna has recently been cast to portray Taylor Sproat in the upcoming comedy “Saturday at the Starlight”, which will follow a night at a roller rink which gathered together both teenagers and all manner of crooks.
Roles in TV series
Jenna made her debut TV series appearance in 2017, when cast to play Sally Sweet in the two episodes “A More Perfect Union” and “More Stars Than There Are in Heaven” of the drama “The Last Tycoon”, created by Billy Ray and which starred Matt Bomer, Kelsey Grammer and Lily Collins. It follows the Hollywood studio executive, Monroe Stahr and his fight with Pat Brady, head of the studio.
In 2018, Jenna appeared in a single episode of both the comedy “Teachers” and the family series “Afterschooled”, before being invited to play the supporting character Maddy in six episodes of the comedy “Keys”, which starred Dylan, Hayden Summerall and Brenna D’Amico. She went on to voice Teri in 20 episodes of the short animated mystery series “Treehouse Detectives”, and then gained recognition after being cast as Sienna, one of the supporting characters in the family comedy “Raven’s Home”, which starred Raven-Symone, Isaac Ryan Brown and Navia Ziraili Robinson – it is about Raven Baxter, a single mother living with her twins Booker and Nia, her best friend and her son Levi. It won two awards and was nominated for seven others.
Jenna went on to play Monica in five episodes of the historical mystery drama “A Girl Named Jo”, before being invited to voice various characters in 13 episodes of the short animated comedy “Vampirina” – Jenna’s most recent appearance in a TV series has been in 2020 when she voiced three characters in three episodes of the animated action adventure series “Infinity Train”, created by Owen Dennis and which starred Ashley Johnson, Owen Dennis and Kirby Howell-Baptiste. It follows several people who find themselves on a strange train with numerous cars, each of which is a different universe, while they must find their way back home.
Love life and relationships
Jenna is quite secretive when it comes to her love life, and hasn’t mentioned any boys she might have dated, however, there are rumors circulating the internet that she might be romantically linked to the singer and model Jake Clark, with whom she has covered several songs of famous musicians, and uploaded these videos onto her Instagram account. However, neither Jake nor Jenna have commented on these rumors.
It’s also rumored that she might be in a relationship with a mysterious non-celebrity boy, as the two have allegedly been seen walking hand in hand by two of Jenna’s fans, however, no proof has been provided to support these claims, and Jenna has once again not commented on this.
As of October 2020, she is single, hasn’t married and doesn’t have children.
Hobbies and other interests
Jenna spends most of her spare time playing her guitar, writing her own songs and singing – she usually uploads videos of her singing onto her YouTube channel, which she launched on 19 August 2014, and is today subscribed to by over 930,000 people.
She likes to spend her free time in nature, mostly at the beach as she enjoys sun tanning, swimming in the ocean and just relaxing.
Jenna has recently been taught to drive a car by her older friends, and has uploaded several pictures of herself at the wheel onto her Instagram account.
